Fast Pass Plus for Disneyland Resort

I haven't used it and I haven't been there since it was implemented, but Fastpass+ seems to screw up the vaunted 'spontaneity' and basically the normal operation for the parks to some degree. People are scheduling return times for attractions you would never need a Fastpass for, such as POTC and Spaceship Earth, and somehow creating massive queues. But I guess maybe it depends. I mean, wait times look pretty normal right now.

This too. People don't understand my hate for Fp+ I was frustrated to tears last October because of what a cluster***k FP+ is

I had to wait in line for Journey into Imagination. In January. On a weekday. That is FPP for you.

I would gladly wait hours for a chance to ride Journey into Imagination again. It's my all time favorite Disney attraction.

*Thanks as always Martin

Now, Journey into Imagination with Figment... I agree that waiting in line for that thanks to FP+ is an abomination. I also had to wait for the first time ever in January for a ride on it. Granted it was only about 30 people deep; but, it was a line none the less.

The real evil of FP+ is putting it on all attractions and attractions with high capacity that doesn't need it.

Really? We used it last summer and it was the most stress-free, short wait-time, trip to WDW ever!

I agree that they've implemented it for rides/attractions that they never should have included it for. And they open it up for scheduling way farther in advance than is necessary. Imo it should be open for scheduling a week or so before arrival for resort guests and same day (once they've entered a park) for all others. But of course, that is just my opinion. I have no doubt the company will refine the process over time.

People can disagree and get all up in arms about it, but no matter what anyone wants, or thinks, Disney will do what they want to do. This will undoubtedly be coming to Disneyland in some form or fashion, so might as well get over it and make the best of it.

This has been my experience is my most recent trips to Walt Disney World as well. Making day of changes to my fastpass+ times when I needed to won me over completely.

Hopefully Disneyland Resort will announce a new land or attraction at D23 Expo, because Universal is giving them a run for their money with opening new attractions every year.

Definitely pros and cons to both. The problem with traditional FP is that, on a busy day, if you don't get to the parks early enough you pretty much are screwed and lucky if you can get a late night pass for the bigger E tickets.

FP+ on the other hand allows you to stroll into the park whenever you want and still be able to do (some of) the things you want. I really love that aspect of it and it was great when I used it at WDW last year. You don't feel that pressure to wake up early and rush over.

I think with DL, to make it really work for this crowd, they'd have to keep both and provide a balanced allotment of traditional paper FPs and FP+.

I definitely can argue both sides, but there is something pretty great about being able to book a ride on Space Mountain for 5pm and know you can get to the park just before then and walk right on.

I'm not sure how they would do FP+ without MB but I'm beginning to worry slightly. FP was added to HM and they have now added FP back to Buzz of all things.

It seems like they are trying to add more attractions to the FP list for one reason other another.

When was FP never an option for Buzz? It's always been there, as far as I can remember.

The buzz light year fastpass machines were converted to Star Tours fastpass in 2011 and, as of last Saturday, still are for star tours. No Buzz fastpass.
