Don't know if anyone noticed, but the new Moana scene utilizes the old platform from the "Mickey walks on water" effect that got cut before the original show opened in 1998.

There’s a platform in the water. Originally it was meant to elevate Mickey out of the water (as seen in the art) to slay the dragon.

In the video it looks like she doesn't go all the way out onto the platform, just on the walkway, but its still a good use of a scrapped effect that has always been there.

If you look at Bioreconstructs Twitter, you can see no stairs still early this year. It looked to me they appeared around a summer post of his.

Those fountains do effects I never knew they were capable of doing. I didn’t realize they could shoot up so high either. I’m not a fan of some of the new sequences but really like allot of these changes and so great fun to have a show from the good old days. I never cared for it because it was the least of my favorites but I love it like Spectromagic now.

It seems like this show only came about because they had extra Pyro from all the rain outs, right? It's a great excuse to keep us in the park and make money on concessions, all while using your inventory.

A really nice update. Amazing lighting upgrades for n the theater and the new version of the show seems to flow very well. A couple of missing effects but a great overall performance.
