If cast rehearsals have already now begun, and fireworks testing was receently, then how could this not be opening by late Sept/early Oct? Does anyone know the typical timeline of how long after cast rehearsals begin Disney will restart a show or launch a new show?

Kcit.

Cast rehearsals also began this past February.

Now, of course, the difference is insiders are saying all obstacles are gone.

But... when they started rehearsals at the beginning of the year... they thought that, too.

I hope it's soon. But, no one should think that another delay is impossible.

Agreed. What was the main reason why the rehearsals were scrapped at the end of the winter and the long delay?

Did Disney itself put out a promotional video for when they started in February?

This feels pretty legit (obviously the unexpected can come up and further delay things)

Depends on the show but I believe 2 months is pretty typical - so would fit the rumored 10/26 date .... Sept would be a pretty quick turnaround

They did a video for cast rehearsals for that? Missed it I guess
They started pre-construction clearing of the lot.

Don't know why you can't believe that an unexpected problem is impossible. Especially since they already had unexpected problems.

Notice that cast rehearsals isn't accompanied by an announced date. Even Disney is playing it safe for now.

My post literally says something unexpected could come up

And big difference b/w some preconstruction clearing and announcing rehearsals have started

Just this feels more real than the February reports, but yes of course something could always come up

I am going 2nd week of Nov (first time back to HS since it was brand new MGM in like 1990) and will be really disappointed if this isn't occurring by then. Given no official announcement or timeline, is it reasonable to expect this show will be 7 nights a week? Will they do once or twice I wonder? Given the past history?

I would love to find out what the problem was that caused what seems to be a 6 month delay from the initial target and how that manifests. This isnt even a wholly new project like Tron.
