Fantasmic Complaints

Please e-mail guest relations and COMPLAIN about Fantasmic being reduced. For those traveling to Disney - be prepared for the tour groups to take up the majority of the seats and if your not standing in line by 430pm - expect to be turned away by cast members.

Three words... Fantasmic Dinner Package!:)
Just to let you know, even people for the Fantasmic Dinner Package have been turned away on recent nights because they did not arrive early enough & the dining section was opened to regular guests or it was filled by other Dining Package guests.

And anyways, why should you have to pay extra to see the show?

This was the biggest blow for me out all of all the cutbacks. I can cope with some of the rides not getting refurbs that they need or that people would like. I agree that they need them but personally, living in the UK, I don't get to go often enough for that to have a huge impact. But Fantasmic is my fave show and I always insist that we see it at least 3-4 times in a 2 week period. I know some people don't like it but for me, it sums Disney up perfectly - magic, music, characters, fireworks and spectacle. I love it!

I'm gutted that they've cut it, especially as I know that when we go in October, there is no way my party will start lining up for it at 4:30!

Gutted!

If you really want something to be done, encourage people to write physical (snail mail) letters. They carry much more weight than an email.

I'm hoping they will schedule more Fantasmic performances during the busy summer season (i.e. tour group invasion of Orlando time). If not, then I won't see it. I've seen it several times and feel that the quality is not what it once was. I also refuse to use two DDP credits on the Fantasmic dinner package when people are being turned away.

it will certainly be scheduled more in the summer--don't know if it will be nightly (though it should be...) but certainly at least 4 nights/week.

Shows are a lot earlier due to the early darkness this time of year.

We were there last month and there was only one showing that day - not sure about the whole week. we got there maybe 45 minutes before the show. Yes, it was crowded, but we still got a seat and good ones. There were only 3 of us and a CM waived us down to the center, maybe 5 rows back. Maybe it wasn't as crowded because of the dancing lights at the same time, but personally, I wouldn't even think to go wait for a show 3 hours before it started and I certainly wouldn't do it with my 4 year old. It is hard enough entertaining him for a 45 minute wait.

Yes, please email or send letters to WDW Guest Relations about this. The more that send them the better.

I don't think this even matters to them anymore. I have sent letters via snail mail and several e-mails about some other issues, several weeks ago, and all I have received were the standard little schpiels in my e-mail about how important my message is to them and they would be getting back to me real soon. It hasn't happened

It's a known fact that WDW does not want people writing to anyone other than the people in Lake Buena Vista. Maybe everyone should try writing to Jay Rasulo in Burbank. He is the VP in charge of Disney Parks and Resorts. Or if you want to keep it local, contact Meg Crofton at the Executive Offices in Lake Buena Vista. If anyone wants these addresses, send me a PM and I will get them to you, or if it doesn't violate any of the terms, I could post them on here. Maybe mass mailings will get their attention. Chances are they will not be answered, but it might make them sit up and say WTH...........It surely wouldn't hurt to try, but who knows. maybe they really just don't care. Besides, it's your money that your spending there, not theirs.

If you are going to eat at a table-service restaurant, anyway, then the FDP doesn't cost a penny. I have the FDP reserved for Feb. 9; I have an ADR at Mama Melrose. I will pay the normal menu prices for the food, and at the end of the meal I'll receive a Fantasmic voucher. Doesn't cost any extra.

The park execs saw how much busier than expected Hollywood Studios was today that they decided to add a 2nd show for tonight. The first show was scheduled for 7pm with a 2nd show added at 8:30pm. The vice president of Hollywood Studios came to talk to everyone during our meeting tonight & he explained that they were still trying to figure out the reduced schedule for Fantasmic. I dont know how publicized the 2nd show was in the park but cast members were only made aware of the 2nd show around 4pm.

BTW you only need to use 2 credits if you go to The Brown Derby. Mama Melrose & Hollywood and Vine Fantasmic packages are only one TS credit.

In late October the parks were very quiet and the Fantasmic amphitheater was easily at 90% capacity and it was showing every night. I cannot imagine cutting a show that draws that large of a crowd nightly.:hammer:

I think all days Fantasmic is showing are going to be busy than days it doesn't show. When are they going to get that through their head.

Addresses and contact information have been posted here in previous similar situations, so I see no reason why you can't post them again.
