They did two shows last night and will two more next Friday. After that the schedule is still a little up in the air.

Well, the three day schedule is an improvement, but would it kill them to add a weekend day? :veryconfu I've always thought a Tuesday, Friday, Saturday schedule would be ideal. Or maybe a Sunday, Wednesday, Saturday? :shrug:

I'd have to agree with that poster. Not saying people should not like it. It is not my cup of tea and I would rather have Fantasmic, but it is just a singing contest. And Judging from the 30 plus people from this site alone who do not care to go see it and even more who don't think they are going to venture out to catch it more than one time (an attraction that should have a lot of repeat value)...its pretty bad.
And people can claim time and time again that it is not the reason Fantasmic is reduced performances, and it does not matter, in a round about way it has changed the cuts. Because costs were cut and they can do Idol nightly. With all do respect to talented hopefuls and dreamers out there. When I go to the park I want a nightime experience that I layed down the money for, not a Dazzling Karaoke contest.
That being said, since my time is limited what nights will Fantasmic be playing next week? Is Thursday evening a safe bet as of now?

I am someone who dislikes Fantasmic very much. I saw it once and have never been back. Just not for me. But the show IS for a lot of people.
Fantasmic should still be a nightly extravaganza at MGM. The park should have a night time show with pyro to wish Guests a good night. It capped the evening off for all of its fans.
American Idol is an attraction, not a way to close ones night.

I concur. That thing will be shutterd by EOY. I can watch this at home on my TV, at my own convenience no doubt through my Tivo.
Biut here I can fly thousands of miles and pay $70 to get into DHS so I can waste a huge amount of time watching people with no talent perform for me? ....and I'm to accept this as entertainment? :shrug: I don't get the interest in this thing. Are there people really out there thinking this is their shot at stardom and that people want to observe this? I guess than answers itself since Disney decided to build the thing.
In reality, I can catch a better show of no talents on any inner city street corner just after the first of the month. :ROFLOL:

Fantasmic will be Monday & Friday this week (The 9th & 13th). It will be Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday next week (the 15th, 18th, & 19th) according to my work schedule that I got yesterday.
