This is the slow time and on the days that Fantasmic is playing the Studios is a madhouse. Sometimes the line to get in for Fantasmic went from the Hollywood Hills entrance all the to the Hat. If this is the slow time just wait till the busy time. The line at guest relations of guests complaining will grow even longer.

Exactly it's slow when there becomes more traffic and it becomes busier it willplay nightly. People are acting like this is some huge consiracy it is because it is slow!

I don't think its a conspiracy - I mean, we all know that there will be quieter periods with fewer showings. But are they cutting back even when the crowds are there? Like Feb and March vacation weeks or other traditionally crowded periods?

May 2009 hours are out and Spectro is reduced even during moderately busy periods. Last year the week of Memorial Day there were 8 Spectros, this year there are only 3.

I could be wrongvbut from the end of May to the end of Sept. I'm sure it will go back to normal. I've never been during March or April so I don't know about then. I am glad they are being fiscaly responcible and not playing it every nite when it us slow. More money that can be saved to improve in other areas!

Fine line between fiscally responsible and cheap, and who says the saved money will do anything other than be saved for a rainy day.

The previous slow patch set precedents I hope the current management dont repeat.

There is no garentee that it will I hope so. But Disney is running a business they are not being cheap those shows are very expensive and makes no sense to run them nightly when it is off peak. Also the economy is not so hit right know and they need to be fiscaly responcible or they will be on a list for a bailout as well. Why should they waste money when it's not busy enough to do a show each night anyway!

That's got ugly written all over it. On many levels.

Yes it does.

But even in the slow season many guests are being turned away from seeing the show. I've seen Fantasmic at different points throughout the year, whether it be the slow times or busy times and the show is always packed.

Anybody have an updated schedule for the week of Feb.21st-28th?

As of right now, its looking like Fant is going to be Feb. 22, 25, & 28 with one show at 7pm. The times are always changing. (I got 2 calls from scheduling in 3 days because the times had changed slightly this past week.) I'll be able to tell you if a second show has been added any of those nights starting on Saturday because that's when I get my schedule for that week.

That show may be packed at times when it's slow but the rest of the parks might not be. It all comes back to money if the rest of the parks are slow they may still view Fantasmic as to expensive to run nightly.

Thanks! We really appreciate it.

Fantasmic on Saturdays, at least Saturday Feb. 28th.
I think that's a special case because of ESPN The Weekend. The Saturday is usually the peak day for these weekend events. (And that's why I'm going to The Weekend on Friday.)

Am I the only one that doesn't have a problem with this. It's off peak time and if I remember correctly they don't do spectro magic or wishes nightly. As soon as the busy season starts again I'm sure it will return nightly.

I truly agree with that i think they should give fantasmic 6 days out of 7 though! I'm sure one day would be good for a break maybe on a day that is slow.:shrug:

I think that 6 nights is to much for offpeak times.

They must likely get more locals over the weekend. The weekdays would attract more vacationers. The cost to run Fantatic must be expensive.
