A guy on Reddit recorded some of the audio that was played during a rehearsal from his apt. The Pirates theme was one of the clips he uploaded. Unfortunately, that scene is here to stay.

Peter Pan was my favorite part. RIP. I'll pay tribute on the porch of The Haunted Mansion where I used to watch it pass by. I can only imagine what the new scene will be. Let me guess. Pounding Hans Zimmer music and some guy dressed as Johnny Depp bumbling around the ship?

WDW has been pitched a Fantasmic overhaul by the same team doing DL's. Needless to say, they don't feel the need to do it just yet. WDW guests have zero standards.

You'll still have people preferring the other version and people arguing that the new version is successful anyway, so it just ends up being a weird Mexican standoff because both sides are right. We don't agree all the time. Not everything is as abysmal a train wreck as, say, the Tomorrowland lounge.

Actually one of the best things about PTN was the soundtrack. Most people I know loved PTN and hope it comes back real soon. MSEP while a great nighttime parade for its day, still feels tired just like when it left. PTN is a refreshed version for the 21st century and I hope it stays around for years.

You have to remember that its not all about you. The parade was meant to capture the next generation growing up in the parks now. So yeah I think it can last 25+ years or more. Plus they can always refresh the songs and tweak them just like they did with MSEP. I just happen to like Owl City so the song rocks for me.

They should adjust the lyrics if it's meant to capture the next generation of parkgoers.
