Eyes on EPCOT Center

In a related story that might tick off some of the hardcore, I've decided I'm for re purposing Test Track into Mythbusters Test Track. Basically retheme the attraction into dedicated to using science and technical know-how to see science in action, or inaction depending on the myth. Keep the layout, axe the GM thing, fill the queue with special effects replicating some of the myths, add much needed science and smart thinking values into the attraction, while punching up the fast paced ride with explosives and familar personalities. Then an entire post show where you get to get hands on with actual rumors and myths, cycling out as part of a more involved and active post show experience.

Plus all the cool Fire, Smoke, Liqud Oxygen, crashing, exploding, water, light, and darkness effects.

And Jamie, Adam, Tori, Grant, and Kari would be great hosts, lots of comedy and science there.
:D

Thats funny, as I was watching Mythbusters last night and realized it would be a great fit as a feature in Epcot somewhere.

How about instead of taking over Test Track, we adapt these concepts to take over the dead space that is Innoventions West?

I agree with the idea of hands on sciencey stuff, but not to replace TT. However, I think something like that is the sort of thing that could make Innoventions interesting again.

The reason is that it wouldn't be Mythbusters unless it involved something BIG and FAST, and had explosions. All of which Test Track can do.
 :D

Dead space? Everything in Inno West is filled up now.

Oh, sorry. I should have rephrased that; when I referred to dead space, ts more that I just don't find the exhibits in Innoventions West all that interesting. East is pretty good now, but West is lacking in my opinion.

Do tell.

I take it you can't take a opinion?

The fab 5 are fighting over how to decorate the castle. They all have different ideas(strings of popcorn, gift wrap,etc...) Fairy Gidmother appears and says Cinderella should decide,as it is her castle. When Cindy comes, she wants it to look like her prized possesion-the glass slipper. She says if it were covered in ice,it would look like the slipper and be festive.

With a helpful Bippity-Boppity-Boo!,from the crowd it is covered in ice!

This is all done in a stage show.

Not when it's constantly insisted upon as something that should be fact. Then it becomes annoying.:wave::wave::xmas:
Never said it was fact. :) I believe that you assumed that. My apologies.

Ooh. I did not know that. Is this the show? Can't wait to see it....

Regardless, that's fine. That really doesn't change the mood of MK where Music does, but it should. "It's Christmas in the Magic Kingdom" fits the park, where "Christmas in the Future World" kinda of detracts from the intent of that section of the park.

Neigh, I say. Tis' the holiday season. Why fight? I shall toast you one under the basking glow of Spaceship Earth.

But whatever the disagreement was, I say Christmas music belongs in all the parks and does not detract from the theme...unless it's pop Christmas. *shudder*

Ohh, I don't know about the pop part.... I think Bing Crosby's "White Christmas" is pretty terrible...:hurl: But that's just me. I can put up with "Rudolph" for some reason. Gene Autry, is that right?

Instrumental Christmas and Holiday songs are fine, but I have to agree about them not really having a place in Future World. Not that there won't be a Christmas in the future, but meh, I dunno. Just doesn't feel right to me.

Cheers. To a happy new year, on this, our Spaceship Earth.

I didn't want to make a whole thread about one little update but crews were out this morning adding hang signs from the breezeways. Currently there is one in the West Breezeway (green) pointing the way to The Land and The Seas. On the other side of the sign lists Test track and World Showcase directions. There are already signs posted lower stating the same things but these are easier to see from a distance.

Sounds like a good enough reason to go to the park on Sunday.

I'd always thought some kind of sign up there would be good. My idea was to fill in the gap in the overhang with a large screen that would serve as both directional signage and a tip board.

Hanging from the roof under the breezeway. Only one was installed by 7AM so I'm guessing they will be adding more this weekend.
Sounds convenient for those who want to be in the know...

How does it look? I am picturing the sign resembling the wait board from FW East & West...
