Why does Spirit HATE Iger so much?

That kind of venom is usually reserved for someone who has deeply hurt a close family member. It never seemed like "just business" corporate or political stuff. It seemed deeply personal; even more so after this article. I am not sure I really expect an answer. But I cannot believe I am the only one who read the last few Spirit threads and this article wondering what happened to cause such animosity.

Maybe @HmmmmmMMMmm knows

Now that we know his identity, it has been postulated Spirit has a personal history with Michael Eisner (remember he’s a member of the family who owns CBS/Viacom of which Paramount Pictures is part of) and likely does not like Iger because of what he did to Michael as alleged in his article.

As for why he waited until now it appears his brother is involved in a messy divorce from Dusty Sage the owner of MiceChat who recently restarted the alleged Al Lutz “con” again and this upset him enough to finally blow the whistle on the operation. I also think that he views Iger as vulnerable after the last earnings report and figures this might be “the spark that lights the fire” to oust current leadership.

Dusty’s ex-husband/partner during the time in question was not a Snyder and is not a secret, but that information oddly keeps getting purged from these threads.

The timing, I understood:
1. Bad Q3 earnings
2. "New" article by someone who by all accounts is not up to the task
3. The biggest gathering of all things Disney about to commence

But the vitriol. I still do not understand.

I have had friends get fired. I have had new CEOs come in, "restructure," and expect the rest of us to "teach" our new bosses how to do their jobs. Corporate mergers resulting in "relocate or else" ultimatums. Friends who have "trained their replacement." It has never occurred to me to seek retribution from their bosses. Now, when my husband was fired from a job because he was defending a subordinate of African descent from a bigoted supervisor, I got mad. Obviously, the last example was more personal and defies logic.

While your attitude in that situation is commendable, I would say it's safe to assume others in the same situation could (and do) react entirely differently.

I’m not going to swallow this article as fact any more than I do other things I read online, but I got into more than one back and forth with this poster. Have always been skeptical of those who blame specific execs by name.
Generally I don't agree with a lot of TP's posts because I feel like the approach him and other posters take can be a little much and not exactly deserved. However I wouldn't want him to stop posting as everybody is welcomed on this site regardless of their affiliation and he does provide a valuable outlook sometimes. Yet it is strange that his last couple posts regarding SWGE have not blamed Iger for its shortcomings but Chapek specifically.

I’m all for different opinions being expressed! But IF this stuff is true and there are ulterior motives, that’s relevant and should impact how the person’s posts are viewed.

Also, I don’t care about Dusty’s personal matters, I think it is entirely likely the Club 33 stuff related to that and I don’t want to know or care.
