Expedition Everist Track

Does anyone have a picture of what the track looks like and how fast it goes? It does look like BTMRR. I wonder if the ride will have the same feel to it.

WHOA! I had no idea the trains were going to look that cool. Come to think of it...I really hadn't even thought about what the trains might look like. Kudos to the Imagineers who designed the vehicles. And Steve, thanks for the pics!

Heres a relatively crappy look at the track, but a look none the less.

The ones Steve posted came from the Christmas Parade if I'm not mistaken. I never did the "freeze frame" on my tape, so it's cool to see them for more than a split second.

They arent sourced from the parade. They might have been used in that segment though.

Neat,

Is it just me or does it seem like Disney is not going "cheap" on this ride?

I know Mission Spae wasn't cheap, but it seems like they are really going to give you a full and proper experience with this ride from the way things are looking.

Agreed Kevin. Everest really looks the real deal. Its on the scale, size and detail of Splash Mountain and Big Thunder. Top notch Imagineering. :)

Its been a while.. all being well T&A will iron out any bugs, and we will again have an E Ride worthy of a Disney park in every way.

Lets hope pre preventative maintainence keeps it up to spec too!

Besides the ride, I'm really excited to see how the whole area and restuarant adds to the feel of the attraction itself.

Then I'll never have to freeze my rear end off going to the actual Tibet. :D

restaurant? Are we talking quick service or sit down?

Not to mention, any words on any animal exhibits in the new area?

The whole area is supposed to be a Tibetan Village as you can already tell by the bathrooms.

I don't think it was a full service sit down restuarant  , but there was supposed to be tables and a gift shop, etc.

Which has tremendous potential if you feel like you are in a village and you look up to see the big mountain looming over you. As cool as the ride sounds, the way they could tie the whole area together, can only make the ride that much better.

How the heck something like this got by Raluso's beancounting is beyond me (in a good way of course). :D

I was wondering for the longest time if the station was going to be dual load/unload, or not. I guess by looking at this pic it is obvious that it is not dual.
i was wondering the same thing........ good, i like single load areas better than dual....................great pics of backstage.

i have to wait until lunch to see the ride vehicle  my server at my office wont let me see certain images on wdwmagic and i cant get into the server to fix. ill see them in a little while.

What do you like about them? Dual loading reduces the wait times and usually gives the ride more throughput. The only downplay is they might have to stretch their budget to theme a larger area.
