Same. I’ve heard nothing show related.

Imagine if they replaced the mist systems and installed a workable yeti. The internet would melt.

If Bob is looking for some good PR it seems like this would be golden ticket.
I doubt even this would turn the Bob detractors around. At this point its so bad that he could open the gates and let everyone in for free and people would still pour out hate for the guy.

Wow, there were 24 iterations in the blue-sky phase. So there must be 6x the outrage compared to Seven Dwarves over the more ambitious versions we didn't get.
It’s all relative.

When it opened, Expedition: Everest presented a more impressive attraction than Seven Dwarfs ever has. Dwarfs was never meant to outshine Everest, of course, but the issue is that it pales against even the meagre expectation it sets for itself. In being a modest attraction, the Mine Train still over-promises and under-delivers.

Everest came closer to delivering on its promises, even if more was planned.

For the record, there’s definitely stuff Everest left on the cutting room floor that I would have loved to see, and it DESPERATELY needs help now given how much it’s lost over the years . . . but it at least registered as a solid addition when it opened. Seven Dwarfs underwhelmed from day one. That they planned to do more doesn’t help, but many who don’t know that still want more from it.

I feel he is clearly out of touch with reality and doesn't know how to actually handle the job at hand. I wonder if he was put in place as Igers fall guy. Iger didn't invest in the parks, things will fail and it will be Chapek's problem to attempt to fix, unsuccessfully. I mean have you heard the amount of people canceling the Starwars Cruiser reservations? They were the two folks responsible for the green light on this project. Disney feels it will sell because it's Disney. It seems fans are finally fighting back a bit.

To be fair, there was investment in the parks under Iger. But spending money like the Bob's have and spending money wisely are two completely different concepts. And the yeti is another example of "good enough" being good enough for them.

Just curious - what do the EE CMs do when the ride is closed? Do they work on the ride during the maintenance period or work elsewhere on property?

That'd be something worth melting for. (Sorry.)

But yeah, I think the mist systems might've been an even bigger loss than the yeti. They really helped with the illusion of being high up among the ice and snow, plus they also obscured the staircases.

And if they had been the CO2-based (rather than H2O-based) mist that was originally planned...
