I wish there was a video online that gave a good idea of what it looked like before they chopped down all the bamboo, but all the videos I can find focus straight forward on the track. The landscaping IMO isn't horrible except for seeing the building.
This video?YouTube titled: Expedition Everest Ride -Up Close- Disney Animal Kingdom 2012, first video I've found with the bamboo cut, Wow! I still don't understand why they did this, but also I noticed that when the train pulled in to load it seemed normal size and then once the ride starts (maybe I've gone mad, which is highly possible) but it seemed that the train was a lot shorter.
As of 15 April 2007:
- No steam effect at load
- Second waterfall not running (near the back of the mountain)
- No bird at the track end scene
Wikipedia said:The prayers of a flag become a permanent part of the universe as the images fade from exposure to the elements. Just as life moves on and is replaced by new life, Tibetans renew their hopes for the world by continually mounting new flags alongside the old. This act symbolizes a welcoming of life's changes and an acknowledgment that all beings are part of a greater ongoing cycle.
The Imagineers actually made a big deal about correctly weathering them. They were made of nylon to last a good while, but nylon does not really weather like cotton or wool or any other natural fiber. If I am not mistaken they wound up putting them along with some rocks in clothes dryers to get the desired effect.prayer flags are supposed to fade and unravel.. that is the point of hanging them. It's correct show, and they ARE replaced frequently in Asia.

Why even construct show scenes?.
This is funny, look what happens on the projections.
