The question was "why did they paint it to look like buildings rather than painting a rock pattern on it?" I, too, would like to know their reasoning.
Cost maybe? I’d think it would be more expensive/time consuming to paint it like a rock vs the simpler patterns that now exist? The question was "why did they paint it to look like buildings rather than painting a rock pattern on it?" I, too, would like to know their reasoning.
Because the backside is blocky, like buildings and the color scheme is pleasant without inviting more scrutiny. Painting it like a mountain would look weird. This is non-descript enough where your eye doesn't focus on the non-Disney level look. Your eyes go to the peark. The question was "why did they paint it to look like buildings rather than painting a rock pattern on it?" I, too, would like to know their reasoning.
Which is very fitting for a non-descript coaster themed like India or whatever. This is non-descript enough
I have many issues with Everest and its effectiveness. The backside of the building isn't one of them though. It looks perfectly fine. Its not really "on stage."Which is very fitting for a non-descript coaster themed like India or whatever.
If only the fog still happened in the switch tunnel.Steam at the load station was working the Friday before last. No bird on a stick.
I think it was meant to be inspired by this...Does anyone know why they painted the backside of Everest to look like buildings? Shown here in bioreconstructs New photo...

Taken from DVC group on Facebook, Expedition Everest just had to be evacuated from the main lift hill.
