I will be there in a volunteer capacity...After seeing the layout of the course, this is going to be an awesome event. I hope to see alot of WDW fans on the course!:wave:

I'll be there!! I'm excited about the whole event, but the Scavenger Hunt portion of the race is what I'm most looking forward to!

The scavenger hunt may be a killer! :ROFLOL: Based on the sample problems they sent us, I may be in there a while!

This is going to be fun. I'll bet the Yeti makes an appearance, and not in any broken down mode either. I just hope we don't see THIS GUY:

Are any Disney characters expected to be on hand? I heard there were none at last year's Tower of Terror 13K run, and some people were disappointed by that. :shrug:

The yeti in the picture is fabulous... especially with what looks to me like bunny ears!! :lol:

I'm with you on the scavenger hunt clues... We got the last two right but didn't quite understand what the first one was even asking for. I'm glad though that it will take some actual thinking and that the clues aren't complete give-aways.

I'm wishing and hoping and keeping my fingers crossed that we'll get to meet some characters along the way, but I haven't heard anything with regards to whether or not they'll be out. It would be so great to meet Mickey and company in Expedition Everest gear. Here's to hoping!

SO nervous!!

So...I am super nervous about this 5k. Its my first race of any sort ever (I am not a super runner). I've been trying to train and i can run 2 miles comfortably, but I hope I can make it! :shrug:

Am I going to go down American Gladiator style? Is it pretty laid back?

aww, don't worry. With a 16 minute per mile pace allowed, you could probably walk the whole thing at a brisk pace and finish with time to spare.
