".....The project now has an initial title of Forbidden Mountain. Opening date of September 2005 is being talked about, but management are keen to open sooner rather than later....."

Sooner rather than later...that's always a good sign coming from the Disney Company.

thread drift

sorry I have to bring this up:

Roger Rabbit's Hollywood

Replaces Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? - Play It! Well, it could be like Roger Rabbit's CarToon Spin in DL.

2006-2009.

I sorry but this is way impossible for obvious reasons

Anyone else care to join me on doubting this source. They have Harry Potter listed as a potential attracton. Harry Potter is a WB property which is closely tied to Six Flags.

If I'm not mistaken, Disney owns the rights to make Harry Ptter attractions.

Btw, post number 100!:D

if you're referring to the opening of everest... yes! i think this attraction will draw traffic from everywhere to itself. The size and sheer awesome-ness of this attraction alone will bring mass crowds.

IMO, the opening of everest is going to be as big of a thing as the splash mountain or tot of their day.

WDI is very optimistic. The last drive I had before I transferred to Research I saw a lot of the track up. However, there is still a lot to be done, A LOT. It is great that things running smoothly, just don't get your hopes up too high. I just don't want a ton of people to be sad, upset, disappointed, or mad at Disney if it does not open early. It could, but could does not mean will.

Oh, I was looking at the old Everest pics and it showed the site that everyone first thought it was going to be (behind Kali)...

But since there is such a clearing and Kali is so short, do you think that Disney would ever expand on Kali? It seems like the ride had so much more planned.

Anyway, this may sound strange but I hope there is a drought in Florida this year.

Anyone able to confirm/refute. Seems like an out of place, as well as expensive, license to own.

I agree, but I don't know if it's true or not. I wouldn't think that it would be true though...

Regarding Harry Potter, the initial leak seems to have come from an executive from another theme park claiming that Disney had the Harry Potter rights.

Is it implausible? Maybe, but not impossible. Remeber, WB does not own the rights to the Harry Potter books or characters. JK Rowling does, and she may have thought (rightly so) that Six Flags would not do Harry the justice he deserves.

Granted, I don't think the ride belongs at EPCOT, even if it goes into the UK. This thing, if it happens, should go in the Studios. ..that's what they were built for.

There will be no room to expand Kali toward the Everest area. The new pathway in Asia will be separated from Kali by a couple of buildings.
