How does park hopping increase revenue? The buses are incredibly inexpensive to run compared to what it would cost to build, maintain and operate either a light rail or monorail system. Most conservative estimates put a property wide monorail system well over a billion dollars just to construct. Monorails also have one huge problem...no flexibility. When a monorail breaks down it shuts the entire line down. If monorail expansion would save Disney one cent they would be driving pilings right now.
You are right it is not practical, maybe they should just double the buss fleet but that won't save any money either.
