Expanding the Railroad

Why not test it and link Epcot and DHS. Have a station infront of DHS, one at the Bordwalk or Swan, then the last at the WS entrtance at EC.

I would love a PeopleMover hub with multiple lines going to different areas of the resort. You have no idea...

Do the math.
Consider all the details.
It's not enough to say 'do this' or 'do that' in a grand, sweeping way.

How many current resorts and bus stops need a connection?
How do you get the new TTA/railroad/monorail system to cover each of those? What about future ones?
What does it cost to build such an elaborate transportation spiderweb across the WDW property?
How would that impact the look of WDW and the environment?
What happens when it rains?
How do you cover peak transportation times vs. normal and slow?
What cost savings are there really- less busses for instance and more monorail means more monorail cost, not less costs overall.

Projects that are presented in a professional manner to company management, in any company, have to be well thought out and have to address all the details, good and bad, large and small. They have to be thoroughly justified.

:)

You don't have to link everything. The TTA could link EC, those resorts and DHS. If you want to go from DHS to MK. Take the TTA to EC then the Mono to MK.

The main problem is DAK???? Maybe expand the a canal sytem and offer a boat to DAK.

No need to. The TTC's current parking capacity would have a tough time handling the number of cars for MK and Epcot alone. Add in AK and DHS and the parking lot will be filled on even the slowest days. Plus no one want to take a 15-20 ride in a bus or a monorail if they can just park in front of the park they plan to go to.

when you are talking about transporting people from point A to point B

Trains? Nah, use the Wedway people mover for mass transportation.

(right after the protective glass bubble is installed over Epcot City). ;)

I guess but you wouldn't really need cars now unless you aren't staying on property.

Simply removing the HM and replacing it with a NBC Attraction.

Simple logic.

Also, why does everyone keep saying the 23rd?
That is when school starts back up for the 18 and under.... therefore occupying at least 8 hours of the day. It is good day every summer.

ROI is Return on Investment.
A basic business and accounting term.

'If we invest this amount of money on xx project/building/business,etc what do we expect to get back for it?'
Often measured in percent return per year.

The only thing I can think of is to increase park hopping and guest flow to the parks. With all the parks connected there would be less need for busses. With little or no busses you save on gas, and having to pay all of those bus drivers.

The more I think about it the best solution imo is the monorail. One simple line to connect DAK and TTC would make all four marks connected.

How does park hopping increase revenue? The buses are incredibly inexpensive to run compared to what it would cost to build, maintain and operate either a light rail or monorail system. Most conservative estimates put a property wide monorail system well over a billion dollars just to construct. Monorails also have one huge problem...no flexibility. When a monorail breaks down it shuts the entire line down. If monorail expansion would save Disney one cent they would be driving pilings right now.
