Actually under the Reedy Creek Charter Disney does have the authority to construct a nuclear power plant on property. Highly unlikely though.

Perhaps just extreme cold vents pointed at riders as they enter so they get the impression. Then just regular cold AC in the building. Either way, I am sure the ride will be amazing.

im not the one to know...... but that would be nice if the inside was frigage (sp?) cold. you know, for themeing and all...... i wonder how many peoples glasses would fog up on the exist of the mtn.

By that time their glasses would be lost at the bottom of everest. And it would be cool to have vents in the seats of the train to blow cold air on you.

Yup the lighting was all there from day one. WDI built this park to be fully operational at night, even down to having moveable spotlights on the Kilimajaro Safaris trucks.
Steve, I know they did a sort "test run" for a little while with those night safaris... In your opinion, do you ever see the safari and/or other animal based attractions becoming regular(daily) past-sunset things to do in the park or will they most likely close early even if/when the park starts staying open later on a regular basis?

Is this even physically possible, or are there certain regulations that say the animals need X number of hours of rest out of the public eye daily.

I’m not Steve but I will give my opinion on the subject. First of all I don't believe there is any regulation about the hours the animals can be on show. As for the safari I am not positive but I believe the reason for no safaris past sunset currently is because they saw no need to maintain the trucks lighting systems for the rare occasion the park was open late. Once the park is open late on a nightly base I would imagine they would reinstall the lighting rigs on the trucks and begin routinely running night safaris.

I like the idea, I'm sure its a totally different experience at night... hopefully we see it happen sometime in the not-too-distant future. Thanks for the response, Peter.

There is not going to be anything extra on the trains, no onboard audio, no a/c, just seats and restraints. The only effect on each train will be a smoke effect coming from each Loco.

Do you know how hard that would be to maintain!?
AHHHH, just strap a window unit to the side of the car....... it'll work.

Yen_sid1- i think that is plenty of effects...... the smoke coming form the engine. at least for me it is.

This may sound dumb, but will the smoke effect only run while the train is outside or will it run in the interior portions also.

Why wouldn't it?
cuz the tunnels would fill up with smoke :)

as long as they're well ventilated it shouldn't be a problem (this was a real issue back in the days of steam trains, typically ventilation shafts would be cut into the mountain to help alleviate the problem)

I seriously don't see the smoke stack pouring out so much smoke it fills the room. I see the show effect as a gentle output of smoke. Nothing over the top, to save fog juice, and from over killing the effect.
