Also, will this one have any inverts, loops or corkscrews? I'm looking forward to riding it, unless it has any of those. I have SEVERE motion sickness and can barely even ride Space Mountain :hurl: . If it turns me upside down, I'm screwed. Anyone know?
Everest will have no inversions, loops or corkscrews. You should be fine. If you can handle BTMR with more speed you will not have any problem.

Great, thanks. I can do BMRR just fine - the problem with Space is that its in the dark and I can't get my bearings on anything.

As for the comment on BACKWARDS. How in the heck does that work? Is it like Norway where you go to a point and the track actually switches? That's the only way I can conceive this being possible.

After the lift hill you go around a bend and up a small incline, will you stop on the incline the track behind you switches then you go backwards through the next part of the mountain. The backwards portion will be longer then Mummy's backward section, which is only a small drop back.

I don't know what Mummy's is, but thanks for the info. How far do you travel backwards before they switch you forwards again?

Very similar...just on a coaster track and not a flume track.

Mummy is Universal's new darkride/rolleroaster hybrid at USF, the attraction is based off the Mummy films and is real bar raiser.

EE will go backwards it seems for about ten seconds, but it will turn and drop, although the drop is not step. I guess you will have to wait and see. it is sure to be a lot of fun.

On Norway the track lifts up with the boat on it. On EE the track will not move with the cars. From what I have heard if you have seen the track switch on RNR for the maintenance bay, it is the same thing.

The switch track rotates 180 degrees while the car is up on the incline. if you look at the track with the floor right before the incline you will notice their is track on both side of the spine

Thanks for the pics, Lynx04!

Also, I was searching on EE and I came to a previous forum (a very heated one) where someone was saying that that switch was a place where (I dont know if this is exactly what it said) the Yeti was going to pick you up where this switch is now....that seems silly. Any idea of what ever happend to that so called "rumor"? I figured someone whos a mod ore has been here forever might know. Thanks for your help in advance! aklodge

Yes that was just a rumor. It was before these pics came out on Orlandorocks.com back in July '04. Once these pics came out it was clear how the track switches accure and where.

The question that I have now is will the stop on the incline have a small show scene or will it just stop and go backwards? One thing that I have heard from Lee on here, is that the yeti will not appear at the switch tracks.

I guess we will find out when the ride opens how everthing plays out.

Just a little something:
If you have the Lion King 1 1/2, you can go to the special features, and you can go to Timon & Pumba's (There's a few words after that, I cant remember the exact name) section, and go to it and there is a thing where you see the Yeti and then you choose the direction you want to go, and then it either takes you down forwards or backwards. Can anyone whose done this or seen this back me up? Just a thought. Thanks!

After looking at the pic about of the backwards portion, the train will be moving rather quickly going backwards, that drop into the helix is pretty long. That is the part that I want to experience the most. Can't wait!!!

Glad your all enjoying the pics. I'll possibly be going again in two weekends, then again with my family when they come down to visit two weekends after that, so I'll make an effort to get over there and get more pictures in the future.

How does seeing a cell phone tower depress you? Were your parents killed by a cell phone tower? Surely it's not just the fact that there is a cell phone tower, now is it?

I'm willing to bet that you have your cell phone with you every second you are in a Disney theme park. Do you find yourself depressing as well? Would you not complain if you had no cell service while you were walking around the park? How do you expect to have cell phone service without a cell tower?

And don't tell me you don't care about the service because you're "at Disney!!!1!"... What someone tried to call you over something important? Imagine if your brother tried to call you while you were at a Disney theme park to tell you that your parents had just been killed by a cell phone tower, but he couldn't reach you because there were no cell phone towers near you "to preserve the magic"... Why, that's not magic- it's tragic!

I actually think you should be banned for that post, atleast for a short time.

Everytime that Montu guy has posted something it's been negative and rude. I can't believe he's still allowed to post here.

But anyway, the pictures of EE are wonderful! It's come a long way since I saw it in July. I can't wait to ride it. Looks really fun!

*Raises hand*

I can back you up. And you go through the mountain and it's icy and stuff like that.

Everest is really looking cool. I can't wait for my sister to try it and tell me how cool it is (I'm still too afraid).

BTW, will EE have fastpass? It's definitely going to be Asia's E-ticket, so I'm sure it will.
