I recognize Mr. Rohde from the various interviews and commentaries he's given on television regarding Disney attractions. I get the impression he's one of the top commanders at Imagineering. Anyone have a bio on him?

I've attended several discussions he's held.. REALLY nice guy. Very forthcoming with Everest info as well as general AK information. If you ever get a chance to meet him, ask him to tell you about his earring.

what happened...

what happened to Mr. Joe's earring... I thought he wore it on his right ear.

Gosh, WDI is pretty looselipped about its projects these days... I remember the day when Eisner wouldn't say boo about any attraction...now, we practically invite people to look at the construction..build a bridge to it.

If that were to happen, the ride would become N-Gage the ride and then nobody would ride it....

Seriously though, I can't see how Everest really could relate to Nokia... oh well, i'm sure they'll think of something :D

Amazing. Simply amazing. Disney never fails to amaze me.

The amount of detail put into this walkway makes it worthy of having an opening ceremony.

My jaw dropped when I saw the pictures. I had reasonably high expectations to begin with, seeing as how everything else in AK is exceptionally detailed. It seems like everything along the path serves a purpose (the theming isn't random).

I can't wait to see this area develop over the next year. WOW

RE: Kali - Of course, I haven't seen this area in person, so this is just speculation. This is either another standby entrance to the ride (probably roped off when it's busy), or it's a shorter walkway to the ride's main entrance area.

RE: Animals - I would like to see some animal exhibits in this area, but I really don't know if there will be any. I do know that this area actually used to be home to some animals a long time ago. The coastal area right next to the two new buildings used to have cows and such.

Will the sit down restaurant be Animal Kingom's first. Because I remember all fast food places, not a single place where you sit down at a table and a waiter comes.
