I have collected pics of the upstairs after doing alot of image searches online. Some I have never found again so i put them together here:

If they belong to anyone here i will take them down but i just wanted to share for those who were interested. :)

Thanks for the nice pics! I almost made it up there but was um stopped :lookaroun. So the rainbow corridor still works?

Parts of it work, I have been up there before where it has been completely off and there have been times where I have seen parts of it on, and then some times with panels flashing.

That's pretty much what it still looks like up there. Except the tv's are gone out of that room and more junk is on the floor.

Could well be, some of the original plans had the ride even longer than what it ended up being so it could well have been an additional scene or maybe a scene which was replaced by something else.

An attraction has never been "restored" to what it was exactly in the past, and as has already been stated in this thread, that apparently is not the intention here.

That being said, what are the chances that some structural elements that are still in place upstairs (ie, the rainbow tunnel) will be incorporated into the new second floor, or are they planning on gutting out the upstairs portion completely and starting from scratch?

I hope they take elements from the original Imageworks, add in some new ones and maybe add in a modern twist to the older ones. That would be awesome.

Guys, honestly, the stuff downstairs isn't that much different than what was upstairs. It's just in a guady, florescent bulb, glitter floored area now.

I don't want to see any of the old stuff back. I want new innovative and imaginative things to do and try. While Project Tomorrow isn't much different than having the PS3 or Xbox in some respects, at least it's not worse than that.

Sensor pads that play music are 1980 technology carried down from the upstairs. Machines that track your movements and change a projection are now used in airport advertising (Citi has one at our airport. The red umbrella is made of leaves and when you walk by the leaves scatter revealing the Citi logo).

I will keep the rainbow tunnel though - or something new and different maybe utilizing LED effects.

Well yeah, those things can go. Actually most of the stuff that is downstairs can go. The main things I want to see restored are the rainbow tunnel and the stage school. I use to love those as a kid. Replace most of the older technology stuff with brand new, state of the art exhibits.

Oh and btw, I made a new thread about a plot for a JII movie I came up with and would love some imput on it. I'm actually strongly considering trying to work on a screenplay.
