The other day I went to Magic Kingdom, and have the sore leg to prove it! And also pictures. I like the pictures better, and think you will too. It was a rainy day, and as I was walking (slowly) through the dark queue corridor of Space Mountain, (holding ON to the handrail, mind you.) I slipped and took a bad fall. I'm ok, but have a pretty sore leg. I managed to hop back up the queue and was able to finish the update. But as it turns out, it wasn't just me. The TTC was in lock down mode as I was on my out, and all guests going directly to Magic Kingdom had to take the ferry. I think a guest took a really bad fall, as I saw a pretty bad head injury. Anyways, enough of pain, and on to the news!

NEWS-------------------
-The Laugh Floor had a few previews, and they tried a brand new script as well. Here's my take on it from another thread...
I saw it twice, and the first time I saw it, it was a whole diffrent show. (They tested a new script and storyline with Mike and Roz with the Comedy Club players doing the voices, involving a sub-plot of Roz trying to stop Mike from getting as many laughs as he needs.) Then, an hour after that, it was back to the old Mike and Roz comments between acts. The new script show got so-so from the crowd, (But that's because it was the first time they've tried it, so timing was off a little.) And the other show got ALOT of laughs and all fours and fives from the guests. (four being "very good" and five being "great") I think they'll stick to that, it seems to work the best.

-While I didn't learn this yesterday, I heard about how big the Laugh Floor queue can get. To give you an idea, think of a rope queue going all the way back through the Tomorrowland Terrace. It's going to have a REALLY big queue when it needs to have one.

-Indy Speedway is closed, and lots of work was going on.

-They've added a new Info board in front of City Hall.

-Is it just me, or does the Hall of Presidents have new wooden seat backs?

-There was a tent set up near the castle for a production.

-I was surprised to see a large event going on at the Disney Speedway, with lots of banners and like 8 cars going around the track.

-There was also a large convention going on at MGM after-hours.

Well, that about wraps it up, now I have to get back to resting up and healing. Hopefully I'll be all better before Megacon! Enjoy the pictures!

Sorry about your fall! Glad to hear Laugh Floor was getting good reviews. Hopefully they've got a winner going. Also I like how they abbreviated it MLF instead of our favorite MILF. BTW, were the regular cars running at the Speedway?

EDIT-Do you mean the Tomorrowland Speedway or the Driving Experience?

The Driving Experience. There were also real cars on the Tomorrowland speedway as well. (Though they were trucks hauling things in and out.)
And as for the Tower wait, it was weird. When I got there it said 10 minutes, but had 40 minutes worth of line. Then when I got out of tower, the line looked to be 10 minutes, yet the sign read 40 minutes. In short, blame the Flick card system. Ever since it was installed everywhere, I just go by sight, and my gut to judge the wait time.
And that's funny Scar, I do the same thing!

Thanks for the pictures!!! I always giggle at the captions.

I hope your leg is feeling better.

Yeah, I really liked "We start off today at the TTC. The rare glass Monorail pulls into the station."

Anyway, I always like architectural shots like the one with the caption:"Let's take a ride on the Peoplemover!"

Ouch! Sorry to hear about your fall. Glad you feel better.
That seemed to be a pretty big crowd for a rainy day!
Be there in a few days and hopefully they are all sunny!

I think that it's supposed to clear up down here. I'm not sure but I think I overheard something about a cold front coming down our way...

Awww - sorry to hear about your fall. Hopefully it's only temporary pain.

I haven't been to MGM since 2004 - so thanks for posting the TOT signs - they look new to me!

I always enjoy your updates! The captions always make me giggle...

I've almost taken a few spills in the rain wearing flip flops. Sometimes certain areas of the cement can be slippery. I always feel like such a dork when I slip!

By the way, I love passionate Disney fans that notice things like the backs of seats being changed!

Remember to suit up in foam padding if you ever come to Disney on the 12th!

That was my birthday. Frankly, I don't think the duct-taped pillows would go well with my "Today is my Birthday" button. :lookaroun

Great report, and I especially liked that GI Joe bit.

NO pics of the Disney Speedway and the cars?? Was it possibly the Petty Experience?
I was on the bus, and by the time I could've gotten my camera out, we would've passed it. I think it was some kind of business event, because there was also a large convention going on after-hours at MGM as well.
