While I’m still not a fan of Harmonious, interestingly, I enjoyed Martin’s video more than the live show. I’m guessing it has something to do with his edits adding more structure and “story” to the production. Also, the tight zooms made it easier to see what they were trying convey on the screens, some of which was too small to see live, and completely overwhelmed by the hyperactive-toddler/“look what we can do” visuals.
Agreed.

Look at that, @marni1971! You managed to turn water into wine!

Agree. That was the most involved I’ve been watching the damn thing.

Isn’t tomorrow the closing night?

Is bioreconstuct ready to get those backstage pics again? Lol

It will be interesting to see if the barges get completely dismantled and removed from backstage or will the bottom half’s and other parts be reused for the new show.

The new barge configuration for the next show is expected to be very different, so not sure how much of any of harm can be reused.

Thanks. I needed a good laugh today.

No one’s going to miss this soulless, vapid, pile of crap show. Sorry not sorry.

And what makes it so bad? Is it the intellectual properties? Sorry but that's not a good reason at all. The use of ip's is exceptionaly done with the use of country appropriate languages and singers.

Bad fireworks? Another miss there, the fireworks are fantastic and fit the show elements wonderfully.

Bad lighting and special effects (water)? Striking out here, the lighting, coordination with Spaceship Earth and the pavilions is a sight to behold. The fountains are gorgeous and again all tie into the music bringing the whole show together.

And the final thing that I'll just have to disagree with you on is that no one will miss Harmonious. I can tell you exactly who will miss it. The thousands of people cheering at the end of the show the last time I was there in November. I have not heard people cheer for a show like that since the last time I saw Happily Ever After.

He doesn’t look at facts posted by Len Testa that gave the younger demos more favorable ratings for Harmonious than the previous two Epcot shows.

Hey we get it, some hated the show. That’s okay. Some like no IP or limited IP at Epcot and that’s their right.

But some guests enjoyed the colors, the spectacle that the mechanics mixed in with pyro and the music filled with culture. My 70 year old parents don’t have Epcot ‘80 rose tinted glasses and absolutely loved the show. Same with my MIL in her mid 60’s.

Harmonious was doomed when they daytime fountains flopped. I wish they would have spent the money to make those things mobile. It also would have been exciting for them to roll the tech into WS lagoon at dusk and would have added to the “wow, what’s this?” transformation effect.

They could have addressed some of the core complaints about the show like “no central song”, or upgrade the center barge to rotate to help the views and made other small improvement to win more people. But it was all moot when the fountains didn’t cover the daytime ugliness.

I hope Disney+ keeps the Harmonious Live special around, it’s a good watch.

I agree that Harmonious was doomed by the very poor decision to leave them out in view destroying the view of World Showcase. I think if that had not happened, Harm would still be playing next week. It may have also needed some sponsorship cash, because maintenance was costing a fortune.
