Kinda sad, very expensive boo-boo.
This is the biggest take away... They must have dumped a good amount of money ,albeit much less, producing epcot forever too.. I really hope they don't hold back on the new show but who knows? They seem to spend so much more money than they have to..

*Books Epcot reservation for April 1 to watch the dismantling start*
They only thing we know is that the 50th Ends March 31st......

We have have no clue if DE/Harm will linger over til the new stuff is Ready .

As far Harm dismantling, Do we need an Interim Show or not?????

OTPN Might have a tiny bit of new Info? If Steve already reported all this, I'm Sorry!

Harmonious has always sucked. It never scored well and so it will have to be replaced. Big surprise. The show lacks fireworks and is basically a fountain and image show. Had first timers with me last night and they even said they preferred Enchantment over it.

Conflicting info from Disney. Harmonious ends when the 50th ends. But the new show isn't starting till 'late 2023'....time for another mashup of previous shows for a few months?

Next summer will see a limited-time activation, “Riddley Me This: A Symphony of Floor Tiles sponsored by The Home Depot” where guests are invited to join Imagineer and Epcot Historian The Zach as he explores Aisles A12-B22 at The Home Depot while listening to classic Epcot themes on his beats. New horizons for you and for me.

I mean, I imagine they could fairly easily pull EF together if they wanted to.

I also had a first timer with me a few days ago at Epcot.
He had yet to had seen the Show.

We had a great clear view of the lagoon, on the better side.
When all was done, I asked him his opinion as I was interested in his feedback.
He was surprised it was so....un-nessesary.
Everything he commented on is things many of us also have issues with, so this is a clear problem for the Show.
And he is not a Epcot mega fan by any means.....more a casual Disney Park Fan.

Very glad the plug is being pulled on this.
I will be estatic if those ugly 'burnt tacos' and the un-centered ring of pain is removed from the lagoon.
Such a waste of money.....it could have been put to better use.
Like.....refurbishing a Attraction or perhaps a better presentation?

If they build a version 2.0 of RoE using the current stage props, I’d be OK with the barges staying. Maybe they can build a real story into this. Happy Harmonious is done.
I have a very simple philosophy when it comes to things like this. Take what you have, and make it better. As Walt would say, Plus It.

I LOVE the technology of Harmonious, but hate the black barges. 🤢
I LOVE Illuminations, but it could use some refreshing with regards to the technology.

I said from the very beginning, merge the two. Technology of Harmonious with the heart of Illuminations.

If they are removing/dismantling the barges, that’s something that will take at least weeks. Given that there’s a strong push to have a night show continuously at Epcot given the dinner crowd, it pretty much is certain there will be an interim show between Harmonious and whatever big new thing us next.

Just running Epcot Forever again would seem like the easy, logical choice. I suppose they could create another interim show but given how much $$ they sunk on Harmonious and will use for the new show, I’ve got to imagine they aren’t keen to invest in creating anything else.

That's what I've been thinking too and hopefully this show accomplishes this. Harmonious was the technological and visual upgrade illuminations needed but admittedly illuminations had the heart and storytelling harmonious needed

As I've said, I actually enjoyed the show when I saw it in June. I thought it was impressive and I liked the music quite a bit. But....

I will not shed a single tear over the stargate and tacos being dismantled so that we can get our views of World Showcase Lagoon back. I'd even be fine if there were obstructed views beginning in the afternoon, say after 3 (like was somewhat the case with the globe). But not all day.
