IllumiNations: Reflections of Michael CONFIRMED for 2023. He’s such a big star that he doesn’t need any freakin barges. I hope he sings the Jack Sparrow song. It’s perfect for Epcot.

And how does that help anyone exactly..........sounds like IP to me..........

Honestly!!!!!!
I think you have a hard time telling on these boards, but it was a joke 🤣 As much as I would love to hear Jack Sparrow being blasted out around World Showcase...

Was anybody really honestly expecting any really big news being announced regarding new attractions at WDW?
There has been little to no chatter here or 'leaks' regarding talk about projects coming down the pipeline.
Usually on this fabulous Forum, we get the dibs on any planned projects months before they are officially announced.
I myself was not expecting anything major regarding entirely new additions.
Lots of talk a couple of years ago about how once the current construction projects finish we will likely be in for a dry spell.
It is so frustrating that they won't have something ready to compete with the new park being built a few miles away. There isn't even an attempt. :(

The way they see it, they do have something to compete……30k acres, 4 parks, 2 water parks, thousands of rooms spread across umpteen resorts, shopping, etc. The people keep coming, regardless of price. Why would they build anything until that cash cow quits milking?

This. They’re not building anything beyond the barest minimum because they sincerely believe they don’t need to.

I was hoping I sounded like a realist. It would be awesome to see them put something of substance in all the empty attraction and dining space in MK and fully flesh out the other parks, but they just won’t until the guests stop coming.
A slow process as the Iconic (former Gold Standard in amusement parks) continues to drift away from what made the brand great. The daily, weekly, monthly (depending how close fans Live and are willing to travel) trips have become annual or even less frequent with trips steadily drifting towards a once every 5/6 years or just once in a lifetime, if at all. Slow but steadily moving in that direction, yet! management sees it as progress?

Waiting to improve until guests stop coming is a dangerous business model, but one that future leadership will have to work to resolve.
