Yes please. More so, imagine the bones of the 1988 version with todays (movable) technology.Bring back illuminations
Interesting. I was walking around with an Imagineer last week and heard a different version that I'm not inclined to believe: They determined the exact centerline of the park itself and used that, not realizing that it didn't line up with the American Adventure and SSE.
Let me guess, that's not the focus of the new 2023 Show?.......Yes please. More so, imagine the bones of the 1988 version with todays (movable) technology.
Don’t worry we can always visit Hyperion Wharf at Downtown Disney instead.No. Because of it was centered, it would not have allowed travel to other galaxies. That was kind of the whole point.
Now we will never make it to Disney’s Hyperion Resort.
Just lose the classical music and create an original, beautifully paced and rousing score.Yes please. More so, imagine the bones of the 1988 version with todays (movable) technology.
It isn’t classical music, it’s modern orchestral music. Nothing in RoE was composed by Mozart, Beethoven, etc. to the best of my knowledge.Just lose the classical music and create an original, beautifully paced and rousing score.
The classical music feel is part of what made the show, and links RoE to every other major lagoon show since Epcot opened (with the exception of Harmonious, really). Don Dorsey had an interview awhile back that talked about it, and the evolution of the shows on the lagoon in general during his time with Disney. Really interesting stuff.Just lose the classical music and create an original, beautifully paced and rousing score.
Was referring to the original IllumiNations which used mostly classical music. It isn’t classical music, it’s modern orchestral music. Nothing in RoE was composed by Mozart, Beethoven, etc. to the best of my knowledge.
An original orchestral score is what I want. Not traditional classical music like Beethoven etc.. that was part of the original IllumiNations. Give us an instrumental piece like Gavin Greenway did for ROE.The classical music feel is part of what made the show, and links RoE to every other major lagoon show since Epcot opened (with the exception of Harmonious, really). Don Dorsey had an interview awhile back that talked about it, and the evolution of the shows on the lagoon in general during his time with Disney. Really interesting stuff.
I'd rather original music vs Flight of the Bumblebee or Rhapsody in Blue or the hugely over used 1812 overtureWas referring to the original IllumiNations which used mostly classical music.
I found IllumiNations to be boring until ROE came…I'd rather original music vs Flight of the Bumblebee or Rhapsody in Blue or the hugely over used 1812 overture
AgreedI found IllumiNations to be boring until ROE came…
The Stargate is bigger and the dock is L-shaped.Honestly!!!!!
I was just wondering what the difference was from every IllumiNations Ball being centered and the Stargate is not..........
Clearly the Imagineer who said that was a bus driver before they went to WDI.

Interesting surgery asking me if I thought harmonious was part of the 50th celebration then what I thought of the celebration over all.
Exactly. The Stargate is bigger and the dock is L-shaped.
RoE needed to be replaced, but it needed to be a sequel, not whatever the hell they burnt piles of cash on.No thanks
