Luminous definitely has more firepower looking at like this wow! I still think both finales are excellent and are perfect at wrapping up the stories told in both shows

Illuminations definitely had the best storytelling & score of any show but pyro wise it was not the best due to its long gaps.

Just imagine the Luminous barges with the RoE score. The fountains and lights would definitely fill the parts most guests found boring.
If only there was a globe in the middle then it would've been the perfect upgrade.

These are short term changes and they will continue to change over the coming months. Enjoy them for now, but don't get used to them.

A lot of people are gonna disagree with me but imo Disney by some miracle did the impossible and actually did manage to create a score not far off from Illuminations in 2017 with ROL but no one cared until it was too late.

The recipe for this generations Illuminations is right there. I lowkey think Disney could do it but they have to be willing take risk (the risk in this case being the absence of IP)

I would agree but these seem like planned out changes, pretty much new sets of pyro in almost every part of the show.
If these changes make Luminous better, why not keep them????

It seems more like they are trying out different products to see if they’d like any long term. I’m sure they aren’t trying these changes at random. I somehow doubt there was a lightning sale on Amazon that was too good to pass up on.

Several different suppliers. I'm not certain on the current manufacturers, but in the past they were located in China, Italy and Ireland.

I went to see the show tonight. It's decidedly noticeable and a definite improvement on the show. I was impressed. It would be a shame if they reduce it back (or at least don't keep some of this). It was arguably the best fireworks show Disney has done.
And it made me very much long for a POE tag on Luminous for the holidays. It would be perfection.

I've heard they're planning to do a PoE tag eventually but at least last year, possibly even this year, they want to leave it as-is just since it's new
