Epcot's Frozen meet and greet to offer extended hours

Is the queue outside where I could wait and wife could take kids somewhere else?[/quote]
One parent could wait in line while the other parent enjoys the park for half the day.

I know the wait times are ridiculous but it's so refreshing to see Disney putting out movies/characters that people fall in love with. With Tangled and Wreck-It-Ralph...it's almost as if we're seeing another Disney surge like we did when Little Mermaid hit the scene.

Pixar is great, but there's something about an animated musical that can't be beat.

Can anyone tell me why Epcot opens in shifts - Future World and parts of World Showcase at 9, the rest at 11?

I understand the logic off "it's a big park and we want to open World Showcase later so the park won't seem as empty the first couple of hours" IF THAT IS INDEED YOUR LOGIC.
But at this point it seems way too many people are coming early for breakfast and a Frozen M&G in the supposedly closed section of WS. So may as well open it all up.

I believe that was part of a concession to the Swan & Dolphin hotels, which aren't owned by Disney.

There's a lot of labor $$$ associated with that move-will never happen

Wouldn't it make sense for those hotels to want Epcot Center to be open as much as possible because that makes the resort much more versatile for park hopping? People can cut through and get to the monorail for MK or take the boats to DHS. Being that WS doesn't open until 11a, it makes it less attractive as you can't get around "early" in the day. If it were, it would make me consider the S&D because I love trekking through the parks on Disney boats and trains.

When I went 3 weeks ago I got in like 2:30 and they said I was going to be in the 5:50 group. I knew I was probably going to to be let in earlier and I was able to get in to see them at 3:30

International Gateway opens at 9am. Guests can walk through UK, Canada, Mexico and Norway even before the WS opens at 11.

Its still a rip off to the paying guest. Now they want to cram even more people into Norway in a meetngreet space the size of an index card. Looks like the traffic/guest flow nightmare is now set in stone. They should have put this in a larger location that could handle it, even if it meant not using the Norway location/connection. So much dead space in the park. Actually Akershus should be a Frozen dining experience instead of princesses that dont belong. And we all know that a new movie is never going happen at this point, somehow they could have reconfigured that space for the meetngreet and reconfigured the Maelstrom exit etc. I know thats some complicated logistics but could be done.

We were @ Norway today. Yes, there was a bit of an outside line for the meet & greet nothing really bad. The weather was terrific today low 70's slight breeze.

Thanks. We got there at 5:45 right after they closed the line. Made the best of it with a picture with Donald in Mexico, the ride there which kids loved, and fish/chips in Englad while we enjoyed a British Invasion show. Not a bad evening at the now watered down park known as Epcot. Fun can still be had but yeah, a lot missing.

In line. Was probabaly #20 or so in line at gate around 8:25. We started just past the steps of Stave Church building in the overflow line.

Here's a picture of current line that goes to Mexico. So yeah, Frozen is popular.

Actually, I'm kinda surprised they haven't included them in the Akershus Princess character meal lineup.

Thats exactly where they should be, replacing the ones in there now. But I dont think they could handle the demand or guest flow, they cant as it is now between akershus and the index card meetngreet right across.

I appreciate the idea of trying to keep them in Norway where it is semi-theme appropriate but they need to move the girls to an area that can handle the demand for them. Honestly the best solution would be the space that was just vacated by the princesses at Town Square Theater. This would allow them to have a high capacity continuous meet and greet.

Agree, or one of the many dead spaces in Epcot, even it means not using Norway.
