Thanks!! Did they work last night? Hmm...it seems that they work Monday night through Thursday night, then they don't work Fri. or Sat. and then they work again on Sunday....?

I wonder it it will just be the E and remaining part of the ribbon for tonight's work! I wonder if they have to take all the little stars off before breaking down the steel structure...or if its something that can be done on the ground!

I'm impressed that they are doing this all at night. Is there now a change in the attitude of the management, because these last few years, they have seemingly become content with doing work in plain view of guests, like painting Cinderella Castle, and it was really tacky. I was hoping we wouldn't see disturbing images of 4-year olds crying histerically as Mickey's hand is chopped off and lifted away into the bushes.

tearing down a structure and painting a building are two different things. One needs lots of light, the other needs little light. Guess what kind of light a painter either artistic or house needs.

Disney used to do all of its painting work at night.

As ISTCNavigator57 has already said, Disney has always done their painting at night (with an exception or two).
I would imagine anyway that being able to see at a construction/deconstruction site (especially so close to a park icon/other building) would need more lighting than just painting a structure. Not to mention, Disney has lights at night...much bigger/brighter lights than what they have on just before park closing. So, lighting has very little to do with it, I'm sure.

hmm i believe that they are going to leave SSE the way it was for the first 30 years that it was open, a plain sphere, then add onto it later.

then had plain sphere, then the '2000', then it said 'epcot'...and now what? :O

does anyone have any ideas what will go up after this?

^ Nothing is going up,

The photo updates are great and all, but does there REALLY need to be a new thread for EVERY day?? There should just be one stickied thread called "Wand Deconstruction Watch" or something.
