Neither are you, however I've seen plenty of people banned for this topic. I'm just trying to keep people from getting banned.

people will get banned if they really want to.....there is no reason to stop them from trying

small enough?

Yeah....that is good

-The problem here is that it is impossible to have a conversation about what should and should not happen IN THE PARKS when it pertains to religion without certain groups feeling they are being attacked.......I am not sure if it is insecurity or what......:veryconfu

First of all, I didn't bring up the subject. I clicked on this thread initially just to see an update about Epcot. Other people started it off. I just spoke up when someone made a comment that inferred that Christians waste money on "unimportant" things and don't help the needy. THAT is what made my comments relevant to the discussion. They weren't "totally unrelated" facts. They were facts to refute an earlier post.

Now about your comments about abortion clinics...I have never been for bombing clinics or killing doctors. It does nothing to further the argument that abortion is wrong. Killing to prove that killing is wrong is stupid. You're using extreme people to paint an entire group.

It's the same as saying all Muslims are bad because of a few radicals. It's wrong on both accounts.

Completely missing the forrest from the trees here. Re-read your original post, my reponse, then yours. See if you can't see the disconnect. Stop being defensive and start being rational.

I don't understand why people of any religion feel the need to try to convert people or advertise. Your religion is your religion and that is what it should be. You are free to choose whatever religion meets your needs.

People who try to push their religion onto others gain little respect in my book and that is all I am going to say about this topic.
First, advertising of that ilk doesn't need to be above WDW, no matter if you agree or disagree.

Now to answer your question on why people push their religion. If you saw a man about to die of thirst, would you give him water? Most people would answer yes. Now lets say you have such conviction in your belief that you believe your faith/religion is as important as water for that thirst, do you say something or not to others?

For anyone not of that religion obviously they won't see it as something that is life saving. For the person that does believe they do see it as life saving.

If any religion is pushed on to someone for any other reason, then I'd have a problem with it(money, membership, etc.)

I'm sorry, but that's the most asinine thing I've ever read. No one is "dying" from not being any set religion. What your [horrible] analogy should be instead is, If you saw someone who was thriving, healthy and happy with themselves and their life, but they drank diet coke and you were firmly opposed to diet coke, should you harrass, badger, insult, murder, war, and terrorize them for chosing to drink diet coke instead of water? The answer of course is no. It's none of your damned business. No one's dying. And no one needs someone else deciding what the right choice and the right way of living is on their behalf.

There is literally nothing more personal then faith in the entire world. And it needs to stay as such. Between the person and the universe alone. Period. Harrassing people and pushing your personal choice/belief is wrong.

So how about that Epcot Update? Yup...

By the way, does anyone have any feelings one way or the other about the new rope drop procedure Epcot is doing (having it in between the Pin Trading Station and the Water Thingy)? The times I've been there, the Forces at Be have messed up the speils, so that they didn't go off when they were supposed to. Personally, as a SSE CM, I think it's bad bad bad bad, because it creates a situation where SSE can't start loading until well after rope drop ('cause we're the ones who have to roll up the ropes), and guests get mad that we don't start loading until 9:05ish. Of course, I would never force my personal beliefs about Rope Drop onto anyone else :animwink: .

Character Connection is open in the Festival Center building of Innoventions

It is not too impressive....but as previously reported, it is a test for the future

The Margarita stand in Mexico has moved....while it used to be located on the end of the retail area, it is not on the opposite side of the walkway....it looks like it can handle higer volume, which is nice, as even on slow days, the line could be very long

Today began Holidays Around the World

Mickey's Tree Lighting Treat is currently scheduled for 6pm nightly, and is a nice little show

DSC_0261.jpg

The show begins with 2 members of American Vybe singing....then Mickey and Friends show up.....the tree gets lit, and the Lights of Winter begin the show.

Thanks for the pictures. I was worried this subject would be "locked" before I got a chance to tell you I enjoyed the update.

My 2-cents on the skywriting: Regardless of the message, it's intrusive. And clearly the originator of that message planned it that way. I'm sure his or her intentions were good, but people should really be more thoughtful of the tourists who are just trying to enjoy their vacations.

Great pictures Brad. I didn't even look for the character connection but it's not like I needed another picture with Donald :lookaroun

Edit: I had just wanted to mention that we saw the skywriting too. We saw it at MK on Friday when it said "Learn to love Jesus" and at MGM on Saturday when it said "Turn to God." I don't mean this to be a religious conversation but I just wanted to mention that I did see it throughout my vacation
