This new thread will be all about ideas for making Epcot a much better place than already is.

The first idea is for Odyssey to return.

Oddyssey- Returning to Epcot is the Odyssey restaurant. It will be brough back with a whole new look and theme. Even a new menu. The restaurant will be redone with a more Greek style. New greek paintings and pottery will be added to the sides. The room will look much more darker and dimly lit for a soothing eating experience. Greek waiters will serve all of the guests a nice cuisine rivalved only by five star restaurants. Some windows provide a nice look out onto the lagoon.

Stay tuned for more ideas!

Japan Pavilion Expansion

-repaint portions of pavilion
-update the restaurant
-build Mt. Fuji coaster behind show building, additional queue space available
-add Meet The World show in newly constructed part of pavilion
-add extra shopping area as well as court for live performances
-add art exhibits
-create new film to showcase various Japanese talents

Pavilion Updates: To start off, various portions of the pavilion would receive a fresh coat of paint to give it a less worn out look. Some Japanese plants could be added at the entrance to welcome guests in but would be enough as to not give the pavilion a flashy look. A new court for live performances may be added if space allows.

Restaurant and Shopping: The current restaurant would receive some aesthetic changes to give it a new look. The name would receive a change as well the dining menu. A new shopping area would be added to complement Japan's two new attractions.

Mt. Fuji: The biggest addition to Japan would be Mt. Fuji, a bobsled type coaster, (ex. Space Mountain WDW, The Matterhorn), that could be added behind the pavilion. The mountain would be tall enough to be seen from the other side of Epcot but not so tall as to be distracting. Some addition mountain ranges would be built to give the whole area a wider feel. Mt. Fuji's queue would be located indoors and would wind through a small showbuilding. The theming would reflect Japan's tourist industry and could stay simple. The loading station itself would look like a fairly small train station while the carts would look like small bullet trains. Mt. Fuji's ride would be very simple, after lifting up the lift hill you would embark on fast journey through the mountain ranges. Inside the mountain the theming would look like you were passing through a glacier with a see through cave and easy lighting. The inside would be very cold while the outside would be misty and foggy. Mt. Fuji would be very similar to the Matterhorn without the Abomidable Snowman or the mountain itself. The ride's duration would be 2-2 and a half minutes. The gift shop would have many Japanese souvenirs.

Meet The World and Japan Film: An entire new building would be constructed in the Japan Pavilion for 'Meet The World', a show formerly located in Tokyo Disneyland. The revolving show would feature major updates as opposed to the original version. Right after the show there is a post show area that features exhibits on arts and crafts as well as a film area that shows some of Japan's traditions.

Bullet Train 360: Locted near the indoor mall is bullet train 360, a new adventure for Epcot center. After walking through a short queue guests would board a fairly large vehicle that zips throygh the wonders of Japan in 4 minutes.

EPCOT: A Historical Tribute
The tribute area would be located in Innoventions West. The only accesible way to visit would be to go in from the outside of the building. The exhibit space would take up a good portion of Innoventions west, replacing several current exhibits. Ordinarily, the exhibit would be accesible from the inside of Innoventions west however it is seperate from the regular exhibits. Upon entering, you would be in a fairly large room. Think a massive version of the Epcot 25 exhibit space. In the center of the room would be a newly constructed EPCOT Center model, similar to the one built before the park was built. It would feature a diorama-esque look with all of the attractions located around the lagoon. The HUGE model would rotate slowly around, giving guests a better look at each side. Relocated from the Epcot 25 exhibit on the back wall would be the historical timeline, mapping out Epcot center's progress. Also on the walls would be the attraction boards, detailing the story of each attraction and providing artwork and construction photos. Also inside in the small theaer in back is EPCOT CENTER: One Man's Dream, a 20 mminute documentary featuring the original videos Walt produced.

Here is the Innoventions replacement.

Global Com:
Global Com would be a revival of Epcot's classic communicore, in some ways. It would be an original testament as it takes elements from various concepts of the current Epcot and puts them to te test. Each section would be host to exhibits based on themes from various pavilions.
Energy Center- The energy center is a futuristic playground home to many activities relating to energy. First would be Oil Spill, an interactive touchscreen game which allows users to help clean up an oil spill while learning facts about it at the same time. Second would be Renewable Resources, a peddling game where kids have to peddle on their energy mobiles to pick up various items relating to energy. Picking up a non-renewable resource causes the loss of several points. Also in the energy center is the exclusive Solar Car, a hands on exhibit where kids and adults get a first hand view of the future of cars and energy.
Space Hall- Space Hall would be a futuristic room with a small model of the Space Shuttle in the middle. There would be Space Exhibits, an area where kids can touch actual meteorites, satelites, and other space objects. Galaxy Viewer would be a 3-D porthole built into the wall which features various galaxies and nebulas much like Space Mountain. Space Launcher would be a KUKA arm robocoaster that lets guests create and design their own ship, space plan, meal and other stuff while exhibiting false G-force.
Computer Station- The all new computer station will be an area where the concept of computers and the technology that makes them function is brought to life. Computerpalooza is a small show where kids can talk to Billy 2.0, an interactive computer that moves around the stage. Also in the Computer Station is a timeline of computers. Each computer model (the actual ones, not pictures) are lined up along the wall showing the progress of the computer. Some newer and future models will also be added. The Internet Highway will be the last feature located in the area. It will allow guests to create an email of the future and send it to friends or family.
Disneynature Earth- A fairly large concept for the existing space is Disneynature Earth. Outside the theater guests watch a brief pre-show and are talked to by a sponsoring hostess. After getting their 3-D glasses guests enter a huge theater occupied with a 50 foot tall screen in the front and watch a 25 minute IMAX presentation. part of the theater is underground to fit it in the current location.

There it is. Aside from the several exhibits the current Innoventions building will be repainted and the covered windows will be uncovered.

Wonders Of Life

The new, updated Wonders Of Life will return without the cheesy funhouse theme. It will be themed to a medical research base with various exhibits themed to health as well as two rides added on.

Journey Through Innerspace- Replacing the fully outdated Body Wars is Journey Through Innerspace, a high speed, technological simulator. The queue is an extension of the research facility theme with small exhibits and video screens showing advancements in miniturization. The simulator vehicle will be a futuristic model that is capable of more motion than before and is able to move very smoothly. The film is a fast paced journey to the intestines where you have to unlodge a piece of food lodged in and escape the body before un-miniturizing itself.

Food Jamboree- In the "health theater" replacing Cranium Command is Food Jamboree. The show is a hilarious look at food and health in an animatronic style much like Food Rocks. The songs are fast paced and the dialogue is laugh out loud. One unique thing about the show is that some animatronics will actually talk to various kids in the audience. It will be cartoonish in a way.

Health Habits- Replacing The Making Of Me is Health Habits, a short film showing how you can better your health life and how to do it. The show would be humourus and fast paced with a narration and an appearance by ____________.

Body Theater- In the remaining stages would be several different alternating shows presented by various performers.

Fitness Fairgrounds- An updated Fitness Fairgrounds would return with all new activities.

Systems- A small exhibit will also show up showing various body systems and their functions.

Tasty Treats; And Healthy Too!- A new restaurant serving only health food.

Africa:
The African pavilion would be located near the Norway pavilion in Epcot's World Showcase. Like the original pavilions Africa wouldn't feature an attraction but instead a art museum, two unique shows, and a courtyard that will throw you into the center of Africa. The country will be a spectacular example of detailing and creativity that goes into designing a land. Several concepts of the pavilion that were planned back in 1982 were dropped off but will make their long awaited return along with several new ideas incorporated in.

Area;
Africa's area would be considerably the most unique facade and detail in any World Showcase pavilion. The entrance would be between two African type building which lead to the main courtyard. The main courtyard would be a long stretch of land complete with authentic huts and vegetation. The average guest will get a first hand feeling for the African landscape. Since the pavilion is considerably small there is more oppurtunities to include smaller scale entertainment.

Oasis;
One surving concept that was originally planned for the old pavilion will not only return but will be heavily expanded on. The room will be a large circular room dimly lighted. In the center is a spring complete with water. Lush (fake) vegetation hides most of the 'characters' that are hiding in the walls. In theater effects include mist, lighting (simulating the sun rising up in Africa; think the opening dinosaur scen in Ellen's Energy Adventure), lightning and thunder, etc. The show starts out with a narrator explaining the importance of watter for animals in Africa. As the sun rises several animatronic animals lumber from their positions and walk to the center of the theater to drink from the spring. The show is made to be inpirational and well done. After the animatronic scene a couple of video screens on each wall of the theater will turn on and a brief film showing animals visiting water holes will be shown.
The Watering Hole: Next to the show "Oasis" is the food/drink area called the Watering Hole. It specializes in refreshments as well as African cuisine.

Heart Of Africa:
The Heart Of africa is a 20 minute film showing the beauty and culture of Africa. The show is located on the far opposite side of the Watering hole. The theater walls are plastered with African details annd carvings.
Africa;Land Of Culture: Residing next to the Heart of Africa is Africa:land of culture. The exhibits featured are forms of African art.

Shows and entertainment;
The main courtyard serves many purposes, one of which is the experience of watching amazing performers do cool things. The first show fetures performers fire juggling. Audience members have to stand far away from the show. The second shows the performers use drums and other instruments to create a symphony with an African twist. The final show is based solely on African dancers doing their thing.

Italy Expansion:

The area behind Italy is going to be converted into an area with a slow boat ride as well as a walkthrough little town.

Venetian Town: One new thing to appear in the Italy Pav. is a small scale town in which guests can shop/eat/ and relax. The town square is made to look like Italy at night, much like the restaurant in Mexico. There are little building on the sides of the "path".

Il canale di Pace(Canal of Peace): The canal is home to a 6 minute relaxing boat ride where guests can sit down in a little gondola and travel down the path of the canal. The gondola mostly passes past the town square but also heads down through the faux town.

For the most part I like what I've read, but I still would rather see a Weather pavilion featuring Stormrider than Wonders of Life again. Also, what would you do with Imagination?

That is awesome Idea! I love it! Who is going to be a new Sponsor of the Land! Oh! I just wondered what about the ride in the Imagination and the 3D movie in the Imagination too!
