Are you serious? These are unique experiences and very reasonably priced.

I couldn't care less about the offerings honestly since I am not going to be there... but I had to post for your enjoyment.

I do agree they are reasonably priced. My "Make it rain"meme was more or less about WDW developing some type of Festival to bring in during that normal more relaxed time and therefore increase the "Raining!"... not at the cost.

Performers announced (via Travel Agent email):

dtnemail-jnd91313-b2be8.jpg

In collaboration with Disney Theatrical Productions, this new festival brings an exciting new showcase of favorite music and Broadway talent to the America Gardens Theatre stage. Throughout the six weekends of the festival, different pairings of phenomenal Broadway artists will perform songs from some of Disney on Broadway’s award winning shows.

We’re excited to share the lineup of performers for this brand new series:

  • Jan. 13-16 and 20-23: Ashley Brown and Josh Strickland performing songs from: Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Tarzan, Mary Poppins and The Little Mermaid
  • Jan. 27-30 and Feb. 3-6: Kerry Butler and Kevin Massey performing songs from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Tarzan, Newsies and Aladdin
  • Feb. 10-13 and 17-20: Kissy Simmons and Alton Fitzgerald White performing songs from Disney’s The Lion King, Aida, Aladdin and The Little Mermaid
Performances will be at 5:30 p.m., 6:45 p.m. and 8 p.m. Friday through Monday of each festival weekend.

And, as we’ve previously shared, you can book your Clients for a meal and performance combo. The dining package includes a three-course meal or full buffet at participating Epcot restaurants and priority seating at the 8 p.m. concert. Prices range from $39-$69+ tax for adults, $23-$41+tax for children. This event is non-commissionable. Book one of these select experiences for your Clients today by calling 407-WDW-PLAY.

Also during the Festival, Future World Plaza will be filled with a variety of other visual and live performances including Epcot Living Statues, performances by Central Florida high schools and acclaimed university and college talent appearing through a partnership with Disney Performing Arts. Plus, Epcot’s American Music Machine will perform on the Future World Fountain Stage.

The festival runs Fridays through Mondays starting Jan. 13–Feb. 20, 2017.

American Music Machine really needs to be at the fountain stage all the time. Since they are doing more modern music. I really don't enjoy hearing them in America, it clashes with the Colonial Theme too much for me.

Do performances in front of the US Capitol or Independence Hall also clash for you? There are some cases in the world today where old buildings are still standing in modern times.

The American Adventure is very clearly set in present day as a retrospective.

It is no more of a clash than British Revolution, Musique Aramenco, or Alberta Bound

And your point is??? I'm joking!

Alberta Bound / off kilter is in a no mans land between countries, so it never seems to clash as much for me. I think the more traditional music is best in the countries for a number of reasons but that's my opinion.

If world showcase was more defined, it would be much easier to figure out what fits and what doesn't.

This gives me a conundrum. I'd love priority seating, but with all the new food items at the kiosks, I doubt I'll want a sit down meal too. Hmmmm, decisions, decisions.

Oh yes, I'll be snapping up one of those!

VERY excited about this new festival! I've already signed up for 3 workshops, and I'm considering a 4th!
Beyond jealous I hope they have other shirts available since I'm not to keen on the other designs..that AP shirt is perfect

So how long until the festival kiosks are permanent?

"Welcome to Epcot where you can enjoy our semi-permanent buildings nearly year round!"
- should be part of the monorail spiel
"Today we're celebrating <insert noun> with our <insert festival name>. Be sure to eat and drink around the world!"

This is what kills me about the modern WDW. They're not even trying. They call the festivals something different but, in reality, it's just paying $100+ to enter a park to pay for $12-20 samples of mediocre foot along with $10 glasses of wine which you can find in bottles at your local Publix... ...but it's a Festival of something.

I don't think you are giving the festivals a fair appraisal. My problem is more that these festivals pad numbers while the rest of the park decays. Festivals at a permanent world's fair seem pretty appropriate to me. It would just be customary to also update your exhibition halls (pavilions, in Epcot's case). I actually think this festival has some novel entertainment and food that differs from the other three events in the park.
