EPCOT Geodesic Dome

Hey guys,

We went to EPCOT yesterday and I noticed that the big EPCOT logo with the mickey wand is now gone... Why is this? Because I really liked that.

Spaceship Earth is a geodesic sphere, not a dome.

And that "geodesic dome" is they call Spaceship Earth.
It's actually a geodesic Sphere.

The wand has not been gone that long - only a few seasons

Taking that wand down may have been one of the greatest days I've experienced in the last few years. Getting married and the birth of my son trump it, but it comes in third. Removing the hat and revitalizing DHS will be another.

I had never been to Disney back when the wand was up, and I was not fascinated by the parks either. However, I did know that awful-looking thing was totally out of place when I saw pictures and videos.

So yeah, I am glad it is gone.
