Thoughts: I thought this was going to feel like a very temporary show, and it doesn’t look at all like that and I am so excited for it now! Those kite things look so fun!

Also, Don Harper is doing the music for it, who also did Rivers of Light (!) so like here’s to another great soundtrack!

The majority of folks seem to feel the same way ... lol

The actual replacement, while it could very much be incredibly technically impressive, it seems like a reach in an effort to say it "fits" the "theme". "See we care, we're using Disney songs to blah blah blah ..." and again, it could end up being great (I'm trying to not totally condemn it before I know more). The execution matters immensely on it for me.

They still seem to have no idea what they want Epcot to be ... seems a lot of the money allotted could be better used ...

NO! I won't be satisfied until I can watch Moana on a water screen hundreds of feet away and in a language I don't understand. Long live MOANACOT!

So should we be prepared for similar delays with the new 2020 Epcot show as Rivers of Light had? It's a new tech heavy show right? That way Epcot Forever could stay on for quite a while longer than anticipated. :)

Happy to hear of the October 1 start. That's right after my trip, so I get to say goodbye to my favorite ROE. I think I have to twist my wife's arm to find a conference for her to attend next spring so we can see Epcot Forever before it goes. The preview video looked, and sounded, pretty sweet.

Man, good choice for musical composer/arranger, but couldn't they splurge to hire a real orchestra? I hope the permanent show is done by the same guy, just with real musicians. I'm not sure if I want to watch this show live as it will just make me sad it will be replaced by Disney movie showtunes. :(

I’m tellin’ you, the new nighttime show at Epcot should showcase highlights of people drinking around the world (on the globe) and pink elephants, a glorious synthesis of what Epcot has become with an IP.
