This is slightly off topic, but your post reminds me that Tokyo DL has a Christmas MSEP. That's in addition to the massive daytime parade they run for everybody, not just hard-ticket Guests.

Yes, the MK did have a fife and drum ceremony. They lit lanterns on the Liberty Tree every night.

The post and all mentions of EPCOT have been removed from the Facebook so once an only assume some A-holes took it upon themselves to harass them.

Why are all the live entertainment people going away from the contries in Epcot? I'm so bummed the American pavilion is losing the Fife and Drum. It makes me cry every time I watch them. So glad I got to go on a spur of the moment last February and got to see them and Morocco (also gone) and the acrobats. What's going on?

So glad I saw them during my visit last May. I didn't realize it would be for the last time, though. Their performance presented something very distinctive. I think they really added to the overall experience of the American Adventure Pavilion. Sorry to see them go.
I am not sure about any inappropriate comments but they were advertising their engagement with Disney and that isnt allowed. I had assumed that it was taken down for that reason and nothing else. There could be other reasons though. Marie

I hope that's the only reason. The Internet seems to have become a place for narrow-minded hate instead of knowledge. Even people who cry out for tolerance attack anyone with a different point of view.
I will miss Off Kilter—I watched them weekly for 10 years—but let's give these new guys a chance.

It boggles my mind that this group did not survive, and furthermore, will be replaced by nothing.
America is still the host pavilion for World Showcase, and I, like many of you, felt that the Fife and Drum Corps called to rememberance certain traditions in a special and living way.
I would be glad to entertain an actual explanation from someone in charge of the situation. If not for pure financial penny pinching, as has been suggested, what reasons for the deletion existed?
Truly, this is a disappointment.
No the group to replace MoRockin' has been announced as well as a Celtic musical trio that is supposed to go into the UK. I havent heard anything about the Celtic group. I have seen a video of the traditional Berber group that is going into Morocco. To say I was not impressed was putting it mildly. I hope the Celtic group brings a really good act to the UK.
Thank Tirian, I am trying to stay fair on this one, but it is tough when 8 of your friends are now out of work because of the decision. I still think this could have been handled better if it wasnt for financial reasons only. Bring in the lumberjacks along side Off Kilter. Let them do their act and see what the guest response is. This was done REALLY well over at the Studios with Frozen. No existing acts/ attractions were eliminated to try out a new offering. Some might have gotten moved around a bit but everything stayed and was given a chance and I think the Studios benefitted by it. I wish someone had thought to do the same in EPCOT. Marie

It's still on their Twitter, linking to deleted FB posts. People harassing them isn't all that far fetched.
I am not on Twitter so I hadnt seen these. I can believe it though. I personally dont feel that these guys stole the gig from Off Kilter or anything like that. This was Disney's decision. No one else and nothing else. If it wasnt the lumberjacks as a replacement, it would have been something else. I want to see the band back and playing because I love what they do. I dont have any hard feelings on the replacement acts. They arent my cup of tea from what I have seen in videos and such, but that is simply a personal preference. I do have some hopes for the Celtic act, but the lumberjacks dont spark my interest. The Berber act replacing MoRockin' I think is actually pretty awful and I wont be going to see them at all, based on the videos I have seen. Again all personal preference. I kinda wish they did bring in the acts in addition to Off Kilter and the others. I might have been a bit more open minded on the lumberjacks. Now I just feel that they are replacing an act many people loved with a carnival type act that you could see on Route 192!! Marie

Why would that not be allowed? (I'm not doubting, I just don't understand what party would not want it.)
The statements that were on the page apparently were not in keeping with Disney's policies according to what was told. I am not 100% sure of that statement but it seems like it would make sense that the payrate, length of the show etc would not be the smartest thing to put out on the internet. Marie
