EPCOT Entertainment cuts

Just watched the video, it did not look to me like security was forcing them off the stage, but rather there to watch over the guys removing the equipment. Pretty reasonable on Disney's part if you ask me, with a crazy fan base there could be folk looking to take a piece home. Best to break it down as soon as possible.
I disagree. I can understand security being on stage to get the guys off without them being mobbed. I can even understand security being posted by the stage to make sure no one takes any momentos (all of the equipment belonged to Disney except for the instruments themselves with the exception of the drum kit) so that would have been fine. To strike the stage in full view of guests is just simply bad show. Marie

Never seen a crowd so big for them before. And yes, I know, last show so everyone wants to see them.

Can't imagine the bottle neck of people trying to go around World Showcase

Off Kilter sounds pretty good to me :D. There are a :jawdrop: LOT of people watching them, probably with Disney snacks & merch. So Disney does the next best (not) :( DUMB thing cancel the act!

Well thats what you do after concerts. You immediately break everything down so you can go eat and go sleep.

Edit: Okay, after looking at the video, I don't see where security did anything weird. Seems pretty normal. Plus with a crowd that size, you need a couple of security people on hand Just in case. Looked like the one guy was just conferring with the entertainment tech before walking off. I wouldnt go off on security about that.

I remember taking pictures of the WS Players when I was a wee lad of 14ish... It was 81 or 82, possibly 83 - Christmas to New Year's week (when we always went). I was taking pictures of them, and one atop the lampost said to me, "Oh look - a cannon!" I was shooting a Canon A-1 (film) camera. Heh. I'll have to scan that picture to share with everyone. I shot 13 rolls that trip! :)

I don't know if Disney or Off Kilter owns the equipment, but if it were mine, I'd certainly want to strike it as quickly as possible, with some protection. Fans get crazy. If they had just left the stage full of equipment and unattended, who knows that may have been taken as a souvenir.

They just didn't have the luxury of a main curtain to mask the strike.

I concur. Everything appears to have been done very professionally. The security CMs were simply making a presence as the band took some photos of the crowd and gathered their belongings.

Actually it seemed to me that Security was fine. They were classy and professional from what I could see and that was fine. I agree with a crowd that size, it would seem the wise move to have a presence there. Also to make sure the guys got out and gone without getting mobbed was a good idea. I agree about the equipment as well, but post security guards at the stage and roll down the tarps. No need to strike the stage during park hours and in full view of guests. That is just bad show.
