Epcot Dinning...

If you do try the Rose and Crown try to do a late dinner. When you arrivre at EC stop by the Rose & Crown Res podium and ask if you can request an outside table. They have a patio in the back with a dozen or so tables. They will not guarantee it.

We've eaten there a half dozen times and we had the patio twice. You're enjoying desert of a glass of beer watching Illuminations. It can't get better than that.

A couple times we had an inside table it as a slow time of year and the staff invited everyone out to the patio.

Side note- don't count on this if being seated inside. Lots of people on here who have been seated inside @ R&C have been fortunate enough to be taken outside to watch Illuminations. This practice seems to be the norm, but our server promised to take us out and it never happened. It wasn't crowded in the restaurant- tons of empty tables in and out. We missed nearly half of the show before we were able to run out to some of the empty tables on the patio. Sorry to sound like a broken record on this for those that have read my Illuminations/Rose & Crown rants, but since we were stymied with this- I like to pass it on to others. Of course, aside from this issue- the meal and the service were GREAT!

I need help picking a Table Service in Epcot. Besides Le Cellier, what is the best? I have already eaten in France, Mexico, Norway and Japan so I would like to eat at a different country but I am pretty open. Also, Coral Reef is an option too. And I already have a reservation for 9 dragons. So what is everyones opinion? Should I keep my current reservation or switch? You guys always know how to help. :)

England: I love Rose and Crown - you can get an ADR for dinner and if it is after 7:30, you can stay for Illuminations.

France and Canada: I love Les Chefs in France and of course Le Cellier in Canada.

Germany: My DH loved Biergatan in Germany but I didn't care for it as I don't like saurkraut.

Italy: Via Napoli is new in Italy and I have heard wonderful things about it. But stay away from Tutto Italia. Ick!

Norway:

Japan: I loved Akerhaus for bfast but didn't like it for lunch. I've been considering Teppen Edo for Japan but decided against it due to value.

Future World: Garden Grill and Coral Reef have consistently mixed reviews so I have not tried either one.

Morocco: I'm not a real adventurious eatter so I avoid Morroco.

Mexico:I tried Mexico San Angel and hated it. But I would like to try either of the new outside dining restaurants in Mexico.

China: My DH and I both liked 9 dragons alot.

I wish I could get my husband to agree with you guys !!! We HAVE to Coral Reef AGAIN !! I don't even EAT SEAFOOD !! The ambiance is good, and the kids will like it, but it just seems like such a huge waste !!! It's always ssssllllloooooowwwwww there and the food is ehhh...I really wanted to do Beirgarten, but he HATES German food..Maybe I will change it to Rose and Crown..we were gonna eat there last year, but had to change it...hmmmmm.:drevil:...

Meega, nala kwishta!
I would say if you want some entertainment with your meal (and a great meal too) both Morocco and Germany would be a good choice.

For me though, my first choice would be either French resturant (Chef's or Bistro). Then a walk over to the pastry shop afterwards.

I remember in the late 1980s and early 1990s the food at the Coral Reef, and the service, was quite spectacular. A very large, and very old Grouper would be seen every year in the aquarium. We went probably 7-8 years ago and the food was awful. Wonder what happened?

We did Coral Reef in 2010 and twice in 2009, all three times were outstanding, we wanted to lick our plates, LOL! We've also done the $20 lunch deal in France and it was wonderful as well. We've never eaten at Garden Grove as it sounds like it is rather hit or miss there. We are looking forward to trying Via Napoli when we return this summer, it's getting great reviews.

We are eating at Rose & Crown and The Garden Grill for a second time on this trip. They both had good food, although if I had to choose I'd go with Rose & Crown! :slurp:

Via Napoli is pretty great, it has its detractors on this site but I think it's on par with good pizza up here in the NYC area, the other dishes are good too. I'd love to get to Germany, but haven't yet.

We ate at both Rose & Crown and Tutto Italia. Of the two I preferred Tutto Italia but I'm a big fan of Italian food.

Me and the DW had lunch at rose and crown using a deluxe plan a few years back. No complaints except they didn't have either cocktail sauce or tartar sauce.

You axed a big chunk of restaurants off the list. The only TS in EPCOT I will go back to is Norway; I eat there with my one friend, the concept was weird and the hot food's taste profiles were weirder.

I wish, hope, demand that tdo moves the cafeteria and puts in a proper TS at American adventure.

Try the Rose and Crown. If you are into beer try the sampler. It was interesting.

We just ate at Biergarten and it just wasn't for us. The tables were close together which made it hard getting up and down for food. You were at a table with people you didn't know and they were unfriendly. Also I found it more expensive than other places.

Nine Dragons was a disappointment last time we ate there, and it was about our 3 time.

There is nothing adventurous about Morroco. I found it rather tame and was quite dissappointed actually.

Mexico:I tried Mexico San Angel and hated it. But I would like to try either of the new outside dining restaurants in Mexico.QUOTE]
Did you eat at the newly refurbed San Angel? I heard it is now quite good and we booked ADR for it.

I think part of the high price of biergarten is that I assume a large amount of guests are on the ddp. So the german buffet for lunch is 26, but if you go to say san angel and get nachos, Enchiladas, and flan it costs almost 33.

We have enjoyed the guests that sat next to us the last time we were at biergarten. They were on their honeymoon, though they got married a 1.5 year earlier; the husband worked for bombardier, so that was a great launching off point.

Ummm, the OP asked for opinions - this poster gave hers... do you have anything to offer the OP?

My calls for dining options? Rose and Crown or Teppan Edo I guess - nothing has really rung my bell as anything stellar.

And now I'm asking that poster if she ate at the new San Angel as I am going to eat there for the first time. I had heard it wasn't very good but had improved.
