So the Special Tag on Illuminations is definitely on the 1st right? Nothing on Sunday besides daytime stuff with D23? I'm there that whole week, so I'm just making sure

One night only, like five years ago.

Aside from testing of course.

Test show went good but no pyro because they are saving it all for the 1st.

This the one firework show to see this year!! It is going to be better the 25th, July 4th, and NYE. Even the Entertainment techs are excited about this show, if even the pyro guys who shoot off pyro everyday are excited to do and see this show then you know it is going to be good.

If anyone remembers 10 to 15 years ago when they used the World War III barge and just massive amounts of pyro and loud and just thumping your chest, shaking the ground, and setting off car alarms. That is what they are trying for this time like a salute to the old WW III barge of old. It was programmed locally and didn't have to be sent down to Main St to be chopped up and budget cuts. They got even some special surprises that will only be in this show. So if you are in WDW on Oct. 1 this will be the show of the year!! (Unless you don't like loud noises)

Sounds great! I certainly do remember the shows of 10 to 15 years ago with the WW2. Quite something.

So I guess you work in the fireworks department or somewhere in EPCOT?

Kind of wish I had a late shift last night so I could have seen it but after working 10 hours I was to exhausted to stick around after I got off at 9.

I don't want to ruin the surprise for myself, but... what about the music for the tag? Will we hear any favorites? I was a fan of the 25th tag, but I feel like it could have used more of the original theme songs of the attractions.

I wonder how they did that???? Is this a sign of this to come???? Could this be a turning point in all WDW Entertainment?

This sounds very big to me, much bigger than the 25th. Any chance EPCOT or at least WS, could be full if the ROE word gets out to the public before the 1st?

I'm a little shocked that EPCOT didn't test the pyro last night(unless they did at a earlier date) Are they sure it works??? Forgive and correct me if I'm reading too much into this. I haven't completely learned about how testing works.

I so can't wait to see this...

I think we'll probably stake out a place to watch from about 7 or so....then each of us go get food or drinks, kind of take turns - we'll want the good seats for this one!!

I REALLY hope this is the case ... because the 25th show was OK, but not nearly as great as most fanbois will say it was.

Personally, I would have preferred no RoE whatsoever and just a 20-minute show celebrating EPCOT. But that's me.

What would you suggest? Normally for the 4th of July show we camp out by showcase plaza to have a good view of the lagoon fireworks and the ones behind American adventure. For 10/1 where do you suggest we go? would the same spot be ok? Thanks!

PS... Our backup locations are 1. Bridge to Mexico 2. Japan on second level of store 3. Bridge between France and UK.

We will also have to see which direction the wind is blowing to that night.

Wait, so you mean they haven't used the WW3 barges in years? I was under the impression they were always used for the 4th of July and NYE shows.
