Enhanced Dining Experience Coming to Be Our Guest Restaurant

I can't image paying $200+ with tip for my family to eat here, only to beg my daughter to "please take a bite of something!" just so she can get a picture with Beast.

To me, it just seems like they are missing the mark here. This place is themed after a kids' movie and has a M&G. I'm not saying I want BAD/cheap food, but I feel like this new menu (and pricing) doesn't look like it's designed for the family/kid-friendly demographic. Now before anyone brings it up, I know not everything has to be for families/kids. I'm all for different experiences that appeal to different demographics, but a Beauty and the Beast restaurant shouldn't be one of those experiences.

And that’s just the beginning! Our chefs are hard at work putting the final touches on the fabulous desserts as well as the kid’s menu for this exquisite new dining experience. Stay tuned for updates on these menus.

I feel you. At least my son likes steak. Hopefully, that will be retained on the kids’ menu. One thing to keep in mind is that kids’ menus change every once in a while like the adults’.

I thought that BoG was going to be made into a Signature much earlier than it finally was. I’ve eaten there enough that I can skip
This dinner, nothing on the menu appeals to me. So it will either be lunch (if they continue to offer it as a TS) or finally trying breakfast. Maybe.

Good point. I think I just had a bit of a knee jerk reaction because of all the things that seem "broken" at WDW, this is not something I feel like needed to be fixed. However, I also never even really considered the "dessert only" crowd being a big issue, but it seems like it is, which is a big loss of potential revenue, so oh well.

Per Alex Dunlap, Food & Beverage Content Relations Coordinator, this will be considered “enhanced” dining and not signature. He’s answering q’s through the link in the OP.

I have little doubt that practice had a hand in this change. The question of "Can we just order desert" must be asked at least 50 times a day in Facebook's Disney groups.

Yikes, that's terrible. That means the servers don't get as a big of a tip either because the order is smaller (if these people even tip at all).

I guess I shouldn't be surprised there are people who would try this.

I am pretty sure torches and pitchforks would be involved if it did.

Well that would be appropriate for a BatB restaurant:

Not a fan. Too many (overpriced) fixed price meals already that I avoid. Paying $35 for my 5 year old or $55 for my 10 year old is just ridiculous. They can’t possibly eat enough food to justify the cost, and it’s not likely the quality is going to improve that much either.

Any word on a TiW or AP discount? I fear lunch might be next. This was pretty much our last viable sit down option at MK, sad to see it go this way.

agreed, the child's meal price is the big issue. We have 3 kids we bring. One of whom next year will count as an adult (he's 9 now)
I'm not seeing him eating escargot, octopus or liver pate. $55 dollars for him not ot eat anything? nope!
Or $35 for the other kids for chicken nuggets or whatever they decide to put on the children's menu? nope!

I don’t blame you for not wanting to go to BOG anymore. I found out that anyone over 9 can still order from any kids’ menu on property, and they will receive larger portions of what the under-9 crowd would get.
