Enhanced Dining Experience Coming to Be Our Guest Restaurant

This sounds like a perfect change for me. It matches the way I dine (I really want to try that escargot!), and the price is far less than I'd pay for the same items at most WDW restaurants. And I can have a glass or 2 of fine wine in the MK. What's not to like?

I would agree.

BoG was pretty good when it first opened, but dinner really took a quality dive pretty fast. That accompanied with it's insane popularity made us avoid the place after the first year.

As long as the quality is there with this new menu, it will be back on my list.

I'm curious about this now. I've been to BoG 2 times for dinner- the first 4 days after it opened and the second a few years later...after that second time, i've been skipping it since it felt cheaper and less fancy. However, this menu reminds me a tiny bit of some of the dishes from Disney Cruise Line's french inspired restaurants (Lumiere's, Triton's, Royal Table and Royal Court).

Can't wait to try this next time i'm at WDW!

2 dining credits per person, it better be high end quality!!!

I’ve had one really good experience here and two decent experiences. Since the cost in dining credits will go up, my expectations in turn will go up.

EDIT: Per Disney, this is only an “enhanced” menu. No mention is made that BOG is becoming a signature restaurant. The most comparable meal will be CRT. Based on my experience there, I will not expect higher quality food or service.

From another source, this change will end the practice (abuse?) by people taking up a dining reservation only to order dessert. So now people will have to order the whole enchilada-er, um-three course meal to see the inside of Beast’s castle and meet with him.
I have little doubt that practice had a hand in this change. The question of "Can we just order desert" must be asked at least 50 times a day in Facebook's Disney groups.

I'm glad we are going the first week in June and already have our reservations. We WOULD NOT be spending two credits for dinner at BOG. Wasn't that long ago that a single credit covered the same appetizer, entre, and desert.
I think another poster has it right; since they are maxed out on capacity why not double the price and see what happens. One thing that will happen is that if we want to spend two credits on a meal it will be at a signature restaurant like the California Grill or Narcoosee's, not BOG.

I wonder how many Guests will demand that they be seated in the Grand Ballroom for the full experience now that it's 2 points on their DDP.

Sorry, bad idea Disney to make this a signature dining restaurant. Kids like cheeseburgers and the overall beauty and the beast theme but as an adult I will go somewhere like Cali Grill for my more intimate dining experience regardless of menu.

There’s no indication by Disney that BOG will become a signature restaurant. Think more like Cinderella’s Royal Table, which is two credits but not a signature restaurant.
