Just wanted to share some happiness from our trip last week. Me and my girlfriend of 3 years got engaged on Pirates of the Caribbean, which is both of our favorite rides. The cast members enhanced the moment by giving us a magical moment certificate, "just engaged" pins, and pirates gold as we exited.

That is awesome! Do you plan on a Disney wedding or honeymoon ? I had my honeymoon there and it was great. We did the Mickey & Miney wedding hats and we got lots of special perks.

GREAT time to propose.
My husband and I met while working at Disney. Our first date was at the Kona Cafe in Polynesian Resort. It was our first REAL date. We were joking around and talking about future and he went on his knee on the dock of poly and play proposed. ANd then things got silent.
3 years later...here I am. On the computer...telling you this story. and I am married to the same guy who went to his knees that day. 1 year later he proposed for real on a shore rock off the coast of New Jersey.
Disney brings so much magic in people's lives. If i didnt go and work for Disney I would have never met my husband.

Congratulations! At what point in the attraction did you pop the question? Did she have any idea what was going to happen? How did the CM know you'd just gotten engaged? Are you planning a Disney wedding?

congratulations! i too am curious as to what point you proposed on the ride. i proposed to my fiance on the beach of the poly last year, because i was too afraid to bring the ring on a ride and potentially lose it! i would have been nervous as anything bringing it on POTC because with my luck i would have dropped it overboard!
