enclosing primeval whirl?

does anybody think that enclosing primeval whirl would make this attraction so much better? i mean, its fun the way it is, but it would even be better if it were enclosed. lets imagine dinosaur outdoors. it was probably average, and when it was indoors, its great! if they did that to primeval whirl, it would make this attraction 10 times better!!

any ideas on this?

That thing is SO ugly.

I say, do away with it and put an E-Ticket in.

If it must stay, add a more definite story (we see characters. . . now who are they?!), and def. enclose that ugly piece of metal.

I like the ride and it's taken alot of pressure off of Dinosaur. Enclosing it would certainly help in the rain. During our trip last summer, that thing was closed every afternoon for several hours cuz of the thunderstorms. One afternoon, we were trapped in the fastpass area for over an hour in torrential downpours. Finally, a CM came along and gave everyone a plastic trash bag, much to the disappointment of his boss who would have rather sold us ponchos.:animwink: I hope that kid didn't get reprimanded.

Of course, we had our ponchos................in the car!:hammer:

agreed!! i say they do away with it completely. imo, it's one of the most pointless, most boring attractions on property!
now, i'm not a coaster junkie by any means; in fact, it takes me several trips before i can finally build up the courage to ride a new coaster. but i thought coasters were supposed to be fast and a bit scary...and when i thought 'wild mouse' coaster (before i saw PW in person) i thought it was going to be incredible. then i noticed how slow it was, especially through that one part where the track is level and it just zig-zags you back and forth...*yawn*
Dinosaur still rules Dinoland (maybe even all of AK) as the best thrill attraction!

yeah, i hope the kid didn't get reprimanded for his/her kind gesture either! if he/she did, then that is truely sad. it would just further prove how Disney now cares more for the 'almighty dollar' than for their guests.

Knock it down! Kill it!
But since that won't happen I suppose enclosing it so that we don't have to look at the thing would help. Having no lighting inside so that we can't see any of it would help too.

I do agree that it really doesnt have a GOOD theme, but I think its still a great attraction.I dont really like the dino rama part though, they have them cheap little games that I would never expect to see at a disney park, gives you more of a six flags kinda feeling, and when I thought about that the last time I was there, it really got me a lil upset.Them little dumbo ride things gotta go, and they need to give it a more disney feel to it.Although I like six flags, the dino rama section kinda looks like it will fit perfectly in a six flags park, and thats not the feeling I wanna get while I am in Florida.

You know i actually am a fan of Primeval Whirl myself, since it is the first wild mouse coaster at Disney, although i do agree it does need a better refined story (especially in the queue, this isnt that expensive Disney) and does need to be enclosed just as the lion king show was a few months ago. I like the way the ride moves you dont really expect the thrill amount when you glance at it.

I agree. They should tear down that carnival ride and the whole carnival theme area. And put in a good ride that not every carnival has.

I hate the coaster in question because of something I don't think anyone else here knows.

I live in NJ, and every summer I go to Seaside Heights ("sleaze-side" to the locals) boardwalk, which has 2 piers with rides, a couple of steel coasters, etc.

Guess what? We have a ride called literally "Wild Mouse", built relatively recently, and aside from the spinny cars, it's the EXACT SAME RIDE as Primeval whirl at AK. I'm sure there are minor differences, a bend or two here and there different. But that aformentioned level "Zig-Zag" part? EXACTLY THE SAME. :(

When I first saw primeval whirl or whatever it's called I literally did a double take.

ps. I could find and post pics if you like

Nope. If you look at designs for wild mouse coasters, they have no comparison to Space Mountain. Wild mouse coasters are very small and do very sharp switchbacks. They also only normaly use 1 car at a time and the speeds are less than 20 mph. Space mountain is very tall 9compared to a Wild mouse) and the track goes everywhere. Also the tracks on Space mountain bank unlike wild mouse coasters.

Take a look here for more pictures of many Wild Mouse coasters:

Even tho I like the ride, if Disney were to announce they were getting rid of that whole carnival atmosphere section, I would'nt object.

Any room to move the whole section down to the Marketplace ??

I like the ride alot, but the presentation is pretty bad. You look down at the concrete underneath it and the track set on top of it and it reminds me of a ride that was just set up for the county fair. It looks like this thing could be disassembled at any moment and moved to the next town. I think enclosing this ride and turning it into a dark ride type coaster would be great.

I say we all go and just knock Dino-Rama over! The entire thing is so flimsly looking, it wouldn't take that much effort...:D

P.S. ALL wild mouse coasters have track that curves back and forth, it is the primary characteristic of wild mouse coasters (sharp, small, and unbanked curves with short drops).
