I absolutely do not understand the "reuse TriceraTop Spin" idea.
Setting aside that I'm pretty sure everything in Rama was second hand so who even knows how old the ride is at this point, when Dino-Rama opened it was a land made on a tight budget specifically to look cheap, and yet even in that cash-strapped scenario, they still made custom assets for the rides.
Now the company is supposed to be doing well and Toy Story brings in billions and billions of dollars, and people want them to REUSE the ride for that area? It's not worth something fully customized?
It'd be one thing if it fit, but Trixie does not look like the T-Spin triceratops (and I see zero reason why "kinda close" should be considered good enough) and the fact that they even are toys at all goes right the heck over people's heads. On this very forum people talk like them looking toy-like is a design flaw and not the goal. It would just confuse people.
(Let's not even discuss wasting TSL space on an unpopular character or the large pile of money I would have if I got a dollar for every "but why are triceratops flying?" comment I've heard.)
Surely the hope should be for them to make something unique that actually fits TSL instead of hoping they cheap out and make the land worse with an ill-fitting ride.
Why are people setting expectations for Toy Story Land lower than Dino-Rama?
