SWGE’s big flaw in hindsight was the sequel trilogy use. I know at the time of design and announcement it hadn’t crashed and burned yet, but in hindsight it would’ve been more well received as the OT.
They were definitely riding off of the high of Force Awakens making 2 billion & becoming the highest grossing film domestically (it still holds that record!).

But OT still should've been what they went with. It was the safer bet as it had already stood the test of time. They also had several movies/shows set in that era in production at the time & still do. I bet they were kicking their selves when Mando launched to high praise just a month before GE opened & Rise of Skywalker crashed.

Luckily, I don't think we'll have this issue with Indy. There's no way they're going old man Indy for this ride.

So no plush Indy with a walker with tennis balls on the bottom?

I feel like Indy fits the look and feel of the park as a whole...I am sure they will give it a storyline that fits the conservation theme of the park...Much like other IJ movies, raiding the temples ( or environment) can cause cataclysmic results...
If they add a mythical creature and also have some South American animal exhibits I think it will be a perfect addition...
now Encanto I am not as sure about....other than the look fitting the park...

Ok so this a thought I've been thinking about for a while and I want to ask, is there any rumors of the "Finding Nemo: The Big Blue... and Beyond!" stage show next to Dinoland/Tropical Americas being rethemed or removed in the future? Because I was thinking maybe they could possibly use that building as a possible expansion plot for Tropical Americas. I think if Disney does decide to expand Tropical Americas in anyway, that could be a good option imo, now for what could there, I was thinking they could either easily replace Finding Nemo with another stage show featuring an IP that's set in Tropical Americas like Up, Encanto, Emperor's New Groove, Indiana Jones, etc. Or they could use the Rio IP (The Blue Sky Studios film) as a ride there where we could fly across Rio de Janeiro or the Amazon rainforest using the same or a similar ride system to Soarin' Around the World. I know the Rio IP is dead and we really haven't gotten any Blue Sky representation in the parks so maybe it won't happen, but I think a Rio ride would be cool as the film is about conservation of the Spix's Macaw (and just conservation in general) and it would be nice to have some Brazilian representation in the parks, so there's that. But regardless, I think replacing the "Finding Nemo: The Big Blue... and Beyond!" show isn't a bad idea in general if Disney does want to expand Tropical Americas in the future.

I'm guessing they put an Encanto attraction there because it is set in the rainforests of Colombia and Encanto is a popular IP that could get more content in the future maybe as a theatrical sequel or Disney+ sequel (Ok, unrelated to anything WDW/TA related here, but is anyone else surprised they haven't done that much with Encanto besides some books, because I'm surprised that he haven't gotten any confirmation of a continuation to Encanto besides Jared Bush wanting to hopefully continue it). But I also think they put it there because there was going to be an Encanto attraction for the now (possibly?) scrapped "Beyond Big Thunder Mountain" expansion before Villains Land took over that.

Nothing, yet. Nemo still puts butts in seats. I wouldn't be surprised to see Nemo go to the "Great Big Toilet Bowl in the Sky" for something Tropicals related at some point but as of now, nothing planned. New Groove would be an ideal choice!

They've reached the point where Fossil Fueler isn't bothering to display the igaundons on the top. Everything in stock in within arm's reach. They put the remaining Cementosauruses in BrontoScore, so good luck on that Herculean task for anyone that wants one.

I'm really rooting for them to run out. I've worked for places before where if stuffed animals didn't sell they just burned them all and I absolutely hate the thought of it especially when people want them so badly.

I talk to people who are expecting them to just migrate to the Institute store, but I'm not sure if that's in the cards after them being gambling rewards with no set price for so long. I feel like if that was an option they would have kept the games properly stocked through this because they could just sell them afterwards if they didn't run out.

It really does blow my mind that real animals were an afterthought for this land, given its biodiversity. Almost like they were caught off-guard that people would ask about it.

I'm about as shocked as I was this morning when I woke up and found the sun had risen again.

Reminds me of working at Chuck E Cheese where we had to destroy merchandise that didn't sell or was no longer in "season" for an event or something because it had Chuck E and his friends on it.

I worked for Hallmark. Those cute little seasonal stuffies that you get a discount on if you buy multiple cards all go in the incinerator at the end.

It bothered me so much I bought one of each to "save" them.
