I think so too…. But as a concept it’s pretty weak for a Disney park and does clash with the rest of DAK. That was partially intentional but it still makes the theme tricky.

There is a lot of potential for that area to be very fun and alive…. They used to have jugglers and lucky the dinosaur for example.
I remember meeting Lucky the Dino in Central Park, NYC before it debuted at Animal Kingdom.
It was very impressive!! There was an Imagineering exhibit at the Cooper Hewitt

The comparison to the team with Charita is not really fair though....seems like an entirely different management system now, more "by Committee and budget" and less by creativity and good ideas... We were lucky to have seen the work of the truly greats in the industry... Sad they don't seem to have the creative leadership they once did....

It’s not fair because it’s a totally different level of talent.

That’s like saying it’s not fair to compare Tom Hanks with Greg from accounting at the studio who was moved over to be an actor. Ummm no…. That is the problem…. Hence the comparison haha.
I was trying to be kind.....and not blame an individual... It does seem like the whole idea of "Imagineering" is in a different place now...Completely different culture than it was decades ago...

Also it isn't just Charita who has led teams that have been creative misses. Or have we already forgotten about the whole epcot redesign? I get the feeling that she's almost become a bogeyman when there are plenty of other imagineers who have led projects that aren't loved.

OMG The EPCOT redesign.... LOL Didn't that guy create that spectacular expensive failure and then get promoted? That is why I think the problem really starts in another department and trickles down...

For me, not even close. The Mission Breakout theme messes up theme and sight lines for the entire park. This retheme, if we get something close to the model, will actually make exterior of the attraction fit the rest of the park better.

It’s both…. Indy in Cali is infinitely superior but we aren’t getting that. Dinosaur is a fun concept and Dr. Seeker has become a fan favorite - if the ride was properly maintained and plussed it’s certainly worthy of staying.

I’m pretty neutral, I don’t have a problem with Indy in DAK since it does fit the theme of exploration - I don’t think it’s a huge win or loss.
The sightlines of that park were already disrupted by Tower of Terror.

Are we looking at the dinosaur on the left. Usually the is a raptor called out, is this an additional one elsewhere in the attraction?
Apparently this is a B-mode for when the Alioramus isn’t present. These raptors are static figures with two placed where the Alioramus usually is and one placed directly across the way. I think they’re meant just to fill out the scene a little bit with its centerpiece gone. The raptor animatronic itself is still present, although we don’t see it until we pass the hadrosaur

Why do only two rides? These worlds are becoming pathetic and yet Disney goers mark their calendars to wait for the day to go on a rethemed ride.
Dinosaur will become Indiana Jones. I am sure the large boulder from Raiders OTLA will replace the charging tRex that comes from the left of the cars, and a large python will attempt to scare us in place of the Carnotaur.

Wow…amazing! Imagineers are not creating new experiences. Just putting a facelift on an existing ride.
FWIW, it's a 3 for 3 replacement in Dinorama.

I sincerely hope that the boulder sequence remains for Indy but everything else about the ride experience is unique to Florida.
