Everyones entitled to an opinion - yeah?
Well ok, I only thought the movie was average - yes it was funny in places, but it didn't strike me as being "typical Disney".
However, if a ride is good I'll do it (whether its ENG or anything else)

That is just the reason ENG wasn't an instant success. People went to the movie with preconceived ideas about what DISNEY was going to provide. Most people didn't have time to get over their false preconceptions to perceive

THIS IS A FANTASITC GROUND-BREAKING NEW CONCEPT IN ANIMATED COMEDY AND DISNEY ENTERTAINMENT!!

That's why I had to see it a few times to realize it is one of the funniest movies ever made. No, it's not in the genre of Lion King, Mermaid, B and the B, Aladdin. It's not supposed to be, but it's just as good as they are.

If they let the same people who made the movie create the ride, it would quickly become one of the longest lines in the park.

Now this is a D*** good point! ENG is definately not in the same genre as the films mentioned above, it is a really good movie on it's own. It is just as good as LM, B & B LK and Aladdin, and a lot better than some films that did use the same formula as those greats...

In fact, the way I got DH to even watch ENG was by going "oh Honey, you'll like this one - it's FUNNY!"

Everyone else, check out the link above and pass it on to ENG fans. I figure we'll need thousands of signatures for ME (or his replacement) to notice.

Cyber, is there any way to get rid of the ads that block off the petition or do you just have to wait for them to disappear before you can read it?

Hey cool, I found more Emperor's New Groove fans, I own the special 2 dvd set and I saw the movie like 3 times in the theater. I don't care what critics or the rest of the world says, Emperor's New Groove is a great movie!

I agree completely! The movie had a lot of problems since the production started. I read somewhere that several directors form the company hated the film. Disney didn't want to support it with their usual marketing campaigns and support Atlantis instead. When it was released it became a success (considering the little marketing effort). That was the moment when Disney started promoting the movie... a little too late!!
ENG Box office = $87,320,505
Atlantis Box office = $83,561,615

I love the film! I think it’s one of the funniest Disney animated films ever!

I'm surprised they haven't made

'The Emporers New Groove 2: We don't care whether it was good or not, we're gonna put out a sequel (Straight to video/dvd, of course)'

Bit of a mouthfull, but...

...one better..anyone really think a DIGITAL petition means anything?

No, there isn't a way to get rid of those ads. It's annoying!! I think you can "X" them out though.

Is this a joke thread? Are we talking about the same movie? If you make an attraction on this movie what would be next?........An Oliver and Company ride?

They are fine movies, but not Disney's best......and not ones to base an attractions around

Yeah. I hear next they are going to make a ride based on "Song of the South." It hasn't been in the theaters in ages. You can't even get that on video in the USA! Why bother?

No one will know what it is and will never want to ride it!

Couldn't hurt! I signed it...now we only need like a billion more signatures! :lol: I can't believe some folks are cracking on the film....it's SOOO funny! It's a movie that you didn't need to be a total Disney fan to love! :)

I just said it's a very funny flick...I don't even want to try to debate what is classic and what's not. ENG is just funny and I'd love to see an attraction based on it, that's all.
