Hi everyone, I am visiting from 25 June for 2 weeks and have been checking up opening hours for June and the EMH. It says either open 1 hour in morning or up to 3 hours in evening on selected days. How do you know how many hours it will be open in evening, is it usually 3 hrs, just curious as we are trying to plan some of our days. thanks

It has been my experience that evening EMH are 3 hours long (after park closing). I go during non-peak seasons, so I'd assume that during peak, they'd keep with the 3 hours at night.
Have fun!

The PARK is open for an extra 3 hours in the evening HOWEVER some shops / restaurants or attractions do not remain open for the full three hours. By printing "up to" it prevents Disney being sued when guests find something closed :animwink:

Yep, 3 hours. And yep, if a park is open until 1 or 2am normally, and there are extra magic hours, the park will stay open until 4am or 5am! That's rare, obviously, but it can happen in really busy periods.

FYI, for a list of attractions/restaurants that are likely to be open:

On our last trip, we found it would be helpful to print out a list like this and carry it around with us as a reference.

Everyone's right, we were there with our younger son in August of 08, the MK closed at midnight so they were open till 3am, we left alittle after 2:30. By the time it hits say 1:30 the park just empties out and there are really no wait times at the attractions. In fact the longest wait you have is how long it takes you to go from the end to the beginning. Worth the lost sleep if you ask me. But WDW is the one place you have to work for your fun, and personally I don't mind. :animwink::D

Did the process change for attending EMH also? You use to have to stand in line and get a wrist band. Didn't that change to showing your Resort ID at the specific attractions?

There are no more wristbands. You show your room key at each attraction for evening EMH and at the gate for morning EMH.

I was so lost the first time I used the EMH and totally used them wrong so this is a good question!! :sohappy: Each park on a select day or days has EMH's. As you probably know, only resort guests have access to the parks during this time. By checking the calendar, you will see if the a park has morning or evening EMH's. If in the a.m. - the park will be open an hour prior to the actually opening of the park. And if evening hours, then 3 hours after the park closes. As previously indicated, some attractions/shops/food locations may be closed during this time. I usually skip the morning ones but definitly take advantage of the evening hours!! :sohappy:
