Oh, I love that idea! Although, I think UoE is good, it's held up pretty well over the past years with Bill Nye and Ellen. I would be worried it would turn into the disaster that is Figment if they tried to change it...but your idea is sweet.

Thanks, yeah I hear ya but sometimes change is good!!! :lookaroun As long as it done well and not rushed. But honestly that video and thos characters need to go, the only one realy doing anything these days is Ellen, she's funny and connects with people the only other person in that film still around is Alex Trebeck and he is boring............

Want them to keep that big bang though

They could even play around with it some, like have you enter Theater One with it reasonably dim, and have a point of light at the apex of the room. When everyone is seated and ready to go, the curtains on either side could rise to reveal to reveal the re-installed mirrors, and use them to help immerse you in the Big Bang. Lots of possibilities.

That would be amazing. Imagine the creation of the universe streching around with mirrored projections and surround sound.

It definitely would be one of the top things at the park. (aka; more impressive than Soarin')

One MAJOR thing I will miss about the current ride when and if it leaves will alway's be Bruce Broughton's energetic.

I do like the current score, it's great music, but I miss the original theme even more. And there's so much potential for amazing, eclectic, even bizarre music with this pavilion. Personally, I'd like to see them tap Hans Zimmer or Danny Elfman for the next version.

I'm gonna miss EEA when UoE gets its eventual update. It's funny, has a point, it's honestly everything a Disney ride should be.
I agree. It's a great pavilion...it's just outdated, and takes a bit too long, even for someone who wants to enjoy it. It eats up WS Relaxation Time.

After watching it again, I think this is truly one of the greatest moments in Disney theme park history, and just about pitch perfect for EPCOT Center. What I would like to see happen with the next version of the Universe of Energy is for them to expand and really refine the detail of this sequence with modern CGI. Imagine walking into Theater One after the pre-show and just hearing the whine of that single, infinitely-dense point of matter. As you're getting seated, you wonder what that sound is and what's going on. The lights dim and your seats start rotating to reveal that point of light behind you, all the while the sound is becoming more high-pitched and intense. All of a sudden, that single point EXPLODES and you follow the slow, intense formation of the Universe...

They could even play around with it some, like have you enter Theater One with it reasonably dim, and have a point of light at the apex of the room. Again, agreed. They need to stop treating it as a ride, and focus wholly on it being a show..that moves. It seems that EEA is FAR too concerned with you moving, whereas the old version was more concerned with the effects and "wowing you" aspect.

That, too. It's great as is, but the middle portion does get a bit bland. It needs something new. Almost 15 years old.

Yeah, if you're sitting in there looking at your watch, that's a problem with the content, not with the length. Same like any normal movie in a normal theater.

That would be pretty cool to see. Honestly, they need some songs for the pavilion.

So true. The main flaw there is not that the middle section is necessarily BAD (Ellen does get some funny lines). It's just that it follows the piece de resistance of the attraction, the dinosaurs. Let's face it, that's the biggest draw of the show, and once they're over, you still have another 15 minutes or so to go. They need something that can top the dinos, and a movie with Ellen and Bill Nye isn't it.
