Well, look at the mountain, it isn't even close to being complete! There is still much to be done before this attraction opens, and I think enclosing the remaining part of the mountain would be a great start!
The Exterior of the mountain is almost finished...

Actually, there is large bit of the mountain that is nothing but mesh still (the top). Not to mention the painting and theming that remains.

1000th post!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :sohappy: :sohappy:

WOW that thing looks awsome wiht a car on the track!

Check out thoes seats. If thoes are the final seats used the peole rideing up from will be really exposed. Seems like the front of the train is down below where there kneels will be. It looks safe and secure with the big lap bar and all but rideing in something like that is gonna feel totaly nuts.

Can't wait to ride this thing.

I can not wait to ride this. This may be a dumb question but I have to ask. Does anyone know what the odds are that it will be open by May 2006? From what I've heard so far the odds are pretty good but you never know. Any opinions?

Great photos. I wasn't expecting this for a few months, but then, when you think about it, they need to do this now, so they can adjust any rock work accordingly before they start packing up scaffolding and stuff, so it really doesn't suggest any opening time like some people have mentioned.

Here's something I put together a while ago. I'm pretty sure I've got the track right, but the theming (and yeti bit) is just guesswork.

This may be the first time that I am actually looking forward to my next trip to WDW so I can see the "progress" of a ride and not just looking forward to riding it.

Great pics. Can't wait to see it first hand in October!! :sohappy:

It will almost definetly be open by then, barring unforeseen delays.

I think the odds are VERY good. (I believe I keep reading it's suppose to be done late this year/early next year)

Thanks for all the photos!! And the animation of the track is awesome.

Does anyone know if that's as many seats that are going to be on one train??

If so, that would be awesome. It doesn't look like it would have the same problem as BTMR, where the front goes down all the hills incredibly slow waiting for the back to catch up.

That's great animation, but I hope that the ride is longer than that!

And I have a few questions...
1) What is a helix? I have no clue if that goes upside down or what! lol

2)To switch the train to go backwards, will it be like how the Maelstrom does it??

and 3) Does anyone know yet if the Yeti will appear more that once?

I can't wait to ride this ride! It will be awesome!!!:sohappy:
Thanks in advance!:)

Yeah, it's longer than that. If the ride stopped there, then things would get a little messy! ;)

I really don't know how it goes inside the mountain.

I can have a go at the first two... I think you'll need Lee for the third

1) A Helix is a tightly banked corner, so it doesn't go upside down, that slopes either downwards or upwards. If you put lots of Helixes together, you'd end up with a downwards spiral.

If you look at the picture below, there is a helix on the Left-Hand-Side and at the Bottom of the picture (Going through the corkscrew).

2) It'll be similar to Maelstrom. Either a piece of track will move, and be replaced by another piece, or some people have mentioned track rotating.
