Nope. It was witnessed by my dads own eyes - he worked on the Paris project back in the 90s. I'm guessing things are/were tested differently.

The did the same sort of test in 1980 before the openning of Big Thunder Mountain, I have a picture someplace I will try to dig up.

From what we have deduced before (when the skin of the mountain wasn't on), the second switchback is just before this big drop, so it'll be facing forwards again.
It looked to me from pictures of the station, that the train enters the station backwards at the end, and then leaves the station going forward, with a switch being right outside the station. This would lead me to believe that the big helix drop would be taken backwards?

...Or maybe it enters the station forwards, and leaves backwards?

Or maybe I'm actually very confused.

Yes, that's the big drop.
No, you don't take it backwards. The backward section is a helix just before the big drop.
No, you don't enter the station backwards.
Yes, the poles, after being heavily themed, will be part of a vegetation screen that hides the bottom of the drop from view.

Some of the more credible sources regarding Everest on this site have said that these poles will be themed to look like aged telephone wires, but will actually serve as a barrier to hold back the very large pieces of bamboo that will be planted close to the attraction to prevent the chance of debris falling onto the track.

(Lee would be one of those "credible sources", lol. :animwink: )

Thanks for the clarification.
I guess I thought that way because I saw two tracks leading into the station, but one could conceiveably be a transfer track, or something like that. We'll see, won't we.

About the poles, in that same area they'll also need to install lighting for night or low-light conditions for that staircase. I do assume they'll moreso make a fence, but my first thought was strung lighting akin to those seen otherplaces in AK.

Lets see.. It's July and they are prepping if not already doing a full pull-through..

No WAY it's going to soft open earlier than 06......

These have heads....

...so do these...

Well, look at that. It must be a European thing. :)

I've honestly never seen water dummies that look like that. Still, that said, if their heads came off, so did the headrests on the train :)

Well, look at the mountain, it isn't even close to being complete! There is still much to be done before this attraction opens, and I think enclosing the remaining part of the mountain would be a great start!
